REFUSE THEIR CENSORSHIP

“Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers)”(Psalm 1:1).
I heard about a worship leader who was invited to minister at a certain church under the condition that she would not do "that thing that you do when you worship." And by that, they were referring to her singing, praying, and ministering in the Spirit. It will be understandable If the world does this but for a church to censor the move of the Spirit is just sad.
1 Corinthians 14:2, the Bible says, “… he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.” Notice that such a person does not speak to men but to God.
Saints, when it comes to praying in the spirit, do not allow anyone to sow the seed of unbelief in you. Praying and worshipping in tongues is a divine tool that you can use to effect a speedy change. Do you know how many calamities were thwarted because you spoke in tongues? God does not do things out of religion or symbolism. He is a strategic and purposeful God. The Scripture says, “the one who speaks in a tongue edifies himself…” (1 Corinthians 14:4). In other words, when you speak in tongues, you improve, build, embolden and charge yourself in the God-life. It’s a rejuvenation and vitalization of your body with the power of the Spirit in you.
Papa God gave you a language that confuses the enemy. Why not use it? Satan knows how to speak the language of men; he knows when to sow the seed of unbelief in your heart when and if you pray in the language of men. But with speaking in tongues, he is really helpless because he does not understand what you are saying, and as such, he cannot attack what you are praying about with unbelief and doubt.
This is why he fights speaking in tongues so much. He uses the people of the world and certain religious folks in the kingdom to distort this great truth for the body of Christ. He knows that he is at a disadvantage when you pray in tongues. I love David's words in Psalm 1:1. He said by the Spirit, “How blessed is the person, who does not take the advice of the wicked, who does not stand on the path with sinners, and who does not sit in the seat of mockers.” To bring it home on this subject, I would say: “How blessed is that person, who does not take the advice of the wicked concerning speaking in tongues, who does not stand on the path with sinners on the subject of praying in the Holy Ghost, and who does not sit in the seat of mockers who mock those of us that believe in speaking in tongues every day.”
Saint, be guided by the wisdom of the Word. Sing in the Spirit, praise in the Spirit, and dance in the Spirit. As you do, you will experience the refreshing of the Holy Ghost.
Glory!
Faith-Filled Confession
I refuse the wisdom of this world. I function by wisdom from the Word of God. Today, I choose to pray in the Spirit and as I do, I am strengthened, encouraged and vitalized. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
ONE YEAR READING PLAN: Genesis 49-50; Matthew 15:1-20
Day 20 of 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer
PRAY FOR YOU AND OTHERS
Declare that you and others are guided by the wisdom of God in your associations, jobs, business ventures and partnerships. Declare that you are constantly led by the Spirit of God and guided away from error and poor/bad decisions that may incur losses or negative effects on you.( Isa 30:21; Isa 58:11, 1 Cor 1:30)
Pray that you and others will remain unshakeable, unshaken, always abounding in the work of the Lord. Declare that you shine as light in the midst of the darkness in the world. (1 Cor 15:58, Philippians 2:13-14; Heb 6:10)
Pray for those who have been inconsistent in their faith; that they be no longer children tossed to and fro and that Christ may be formed in their hearts as they are strengthened in those things that are most surely believed among us. (Lk 1:3, Eph 4:14)
Pray for residents and partners, that an indescribable hunger for souls is stirred in them continually causing them to preach the word everywhere with boldness, resulting to the salvation of more souls and that the Word of the Lord may increase and bear more fruits in them (Acts 4:29-31)
