RANK: THE SECRET OF ACCESS

"Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah" (Psalm 24:9-10)

Rank is the currency of the spirit. It is your clearance to access certain things in the spirit. And there are many types of ranks in the kingdom of God. 

Generally, your rank as a believer places you above the enemy and all of his cohorts. In Luke 10:19, Jesus said, "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." So ordinarily, you outrank all the echelons of darkness because Jesus trounced them for you. 

However, there are clearance levels within our kingdom that your rank may not be able to access without the prerequisite calling or sacrifice. In today's theme scripture, David gives us this insight. The place in the spirit is referred to as the everlasting doors, and it is only when the rank, LORD of Host, is stated that the doors are flung open. In another portion of scripture, we see that ranks may be acquired and that in the fulfillment of Jesus' call, part of the access that His rank gained Him was access to Death and Hades. "And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death" (Revelations 1:17-18)

Just as Jesus obtained this rank by His sacrifice, there are ranks that you can aspire to and obtain by sacrifice. The Bible says of Jesus, "...having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they" (Hebrew 1:4). In the same way, you can sacrifice or labour in the spirit over a place until the keys of that industry, city, state or country are handed over to you, and your word becomes law in that space. 

I believe that there are many accesses that the Lord desires to grant us in ministry and territory, but the requisite sacrifices and labours must be met to obtain the rank that will, in turn, manifest as access.

So spend time today asking the Holy Spirit to enlighten you on the things He will require to enter into the next level of your personal commission from Him.

Faith-Filled Confession

I am excited by the insight of learning that my access to the next level of God's call on my life can be precipitated by spiritual tasks and sacrifices that I am required by the Spirit to execute. I am, by this revelation, positioned to precipitate my next level, and when the Lord speaks, my response will be "YES, LORD."
