“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” (Philippians 4:6).
No matter your current state or predicament, know that all things are working together for your good. 2 Corinthians 4:17 says, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”
You may be faced with a challenging situation right now, and maybe you have prayed about it but are yet to observe a change. Sometimes after praying, it may even appear as though things have worsened, and you may wonder if God heard your prayer at all. But do you know that the change in circumstances neither proves nor disproves that God heard your prayer? The proof that God heard your prayer is His Word and your assurance should be His Word and not temporal things. The Bible says in 1 John 5:14-15, “And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.” Notice that the scripture did not say that we can be assured that God heard us when the situation changed. On the contrary, our assurance that God hears us when we pray is His Word. After all, situations come and they go, but God remains constant in our lives. Malachi 3:6 says, “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”
So, let nothing trouble you. If you have been holding on to the Word, and trusting God, and things still appear to not be getting better, don’t quit! Settle still on the Word and cheer up! Philippians 4:6 says, “Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” In other words, look away from things and look to the Word with prayer and thanksgiving. And when you have prayed with thanksgiving, have the assurance that things have shifted for your good even if it doesn’t appear to be so physically. See the change you prayed for through the Word. See your trust in God paying off big time. Be encouraged that the Word is not designed to fail and it will not fail with you.
God bless you!
Faith Filled Confession:
I refuse to be anxious about anything. Instead, I pray about everything with thanksgiving and I trust that my God hears me and answers all my prayers.
Prayer Point
Ephesians 3:14-19 says, ‘For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according tothe riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to knowthe love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God’.
1. Pray for saints of God facing challenges in their health, family, finances, ministry, who have become weak in their faith, that they may be restored to strength and be vibrant in the Lord.
Act 10:38 says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him”. Isaiah 33:24 (NIV) says, “No one living in Zion will say, ”I am ill…”
2. Pray for children who are sick, especially those with mental health challenges, that they receive the good news of divine healing and health in Christ; God’s grace and mercy extended to them for quick recovery and perfection, as the healing power of Christ is manifested in their bodies.
“First of all, then I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, intercessions (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people, for kings and all who are in (positions of) high authority, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (AMP)
3. Pray and Declare that the plans of individuals, schools, organizations, whose aim is to influence and pressure our children into ungodliness through tv shows, video games, extra curricular activities or peer group clubs are destroyed.
Declare that their influence is cut off, all their evil plans and strategies directed at our kids come to nothing and all their investments in evil are wasted. In Jesus name.
