PRESS FORWARD, ENLARGE, AND TESTIFY

“Enlarge the site of your tent [to make room for more children]; stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, do not spare them; lengthen your tent ropes and make your pegs (stakes) firm [in the ground]. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; and your descendants will take possession of nations and will inhabit deserted cities.” Isaiah 54:2–3 (AMP)

Am I the only one who thinks that sometimes God doesn’t make sense?

Has God ever spoken a word to you, and you had to look around—just to check if He was really talking to you?

That was exactly how Gideon felt in Judges 6. The nation of Israel was in utter defeat, crushed by the Midianites, drowning in hopelessness, despair, and fear. Then suddenly, the angel of the Lord appears to Gideon and declares, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.” I can imagine Gideon looking over his shoulder, wondering, Who, me? His response tells the story: “Pardon me, my Lord, but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all His wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.” (See Judges 6:13) The situation didn’t make sense—but God still spoke.

Remember Isaac in Genesis 26? The land was in famine, the economy was failing, and everyone was running off to Egypt in search of survival. Yet God appeared to Isaac and essentially said,

“Don’t act like those without the anointing. Don’t rely on human wisdom—stay here, sow in this land, and I will bless you.” Imagine how crazy that must have sounded! Stay and sow… in a land where nothing was growing? But Isaac obeyed.And the Bible says that in that same year, Isaac reaped a hundredfold—because the Lord blessed him.

Maybe that’s you right now. Maybe this year feels like hell on earth—you’ve lost a loved one, faced a painful setback, questioned your marriage, your job, your ministry, or even your faith. Like Gideon, you’re asking, “Lord, where are the miracles you promised?” But hear the Word of the Lord today: Press Forward, Enlarge, and Testify!

Isaiah 54:2 says: “Enlarge the site of your tent, stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, do not hold back. Lengthen your ropes and drive your stakes in deep.” In other words, stand your ground in God’s will. Don’t let your current predicament push you away from His dream, His vision, and His destiny for your life. Instead, press forward, do more, and testify—because this is your season of miracles. Wherever you faced setbacks before, the Lord says: “Do it again—and this time, you will succeed!”

Faith-Filled Confession
