PREPARATION

"Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of Man cometh" (Matthew 24:42).

"Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest" Matthew 9:38

"Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes" (Isaiah 54:2)

It pays to attend to God's Word and do accordingly. Your safety and prosperity lie therein. I have seen people run off the instruction that God gave someone else at the expense of God's instruction for their lives. And people like this wonder why things are going badly for them. 1 Kings 13 tells of a young and anointed prophet who was mightily used by God but failed due to his disobedience. God had instructed him not to eat bread or drink water or return by the way he came. Though he prevailed when tested by the King, he later succumbed to the voice of an old prophet whom God was through using. This old prophet said to this young prophet after the young prophet refused his first advance, "I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the Word of the LORD: 'Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.' (But he was lying to him)." Sadly, when this old prophet was told of the demise of the young prophet, he said, "It is the man of God who defied the Word of the Lord. The Lord has given him over to the lion, which has mauled him and killed him, as the Word of the Lord had warned him."

Saints, hearing God's voice should end your search and eliminate confusion and arguments. (Read Hebrews 6:16). One should not seek anything but what God has said. If God has said that you are healed, do not ask how. Receive it and testify. If He said there is peace and love in your home, don't say, "I don't see it ." His Word should bring you the eternal reality of love and peace. Paul said in Galatians 1:8, "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse!" In other words, God's Word is final. He does not sponsor confusion. He cannot say one thing to you and then contradict it through someone else.

To everyone under the leadership of the Holy Spirit at Grace House Church, the Word of the Lord for us today is preparation. What does that look like? The Lord is telling us to:

Prepare for the Lord's coming

Prepare for harvest

Prepare to lunch into new heights and greater dimensions.

Now that you know what God is saying, your response is to put these words before you day and night. Joshua 1:8 says, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." In other words, bind them around your neck, and let everything you do going forward reflect these words. Praise God.

Remember, when God speaks, nothing else should matter. So, as we prepare individually and cooperatively, may the Lord give us strength and understanding in Jesus' name. Amen

Faith Filled Confession:

I am ready for the Lord's coming. My spirit, soul, and body are ready to respond to all of God's instructions. I disallow every tendency to be a reluctant servant of Jesus. God's Word is my final authority this month and beyond, in Jesus' name. Amen

Prayer Point

1 Timothy 2:3-4, "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

Pray that every family member will be saved and walk in the spirit and that no member of your family will end up in hell.

Pray that the prophetic Word for this month will become a burden in our hearts and will cause us to be doers of God's Word and not hearers only.

Pray that more and more of us will actively participate in God's vision for our church and city.
