PRAYER AND THANKSGIVING

11/1/2023

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7).

Over the past month, the Holy Spirit has been speaking to me about issues that appear to have no bearing on current events. And sometimes, I wonder if He is aware of current circumstances. To ensure we are aligned in our understanding, I asked the Lord, "What about ongoing events?" However, He continued to convey His message as if whatever I was trying to draw His attention to held no significance.

Whenever I attempted to direct His attention to my current situation, He persistently repeated, "Greater is He that lives in you." He then conveyed, "I can only speak what I am instructed to say. I am here to elevate, affirm, and magnify the Works of Christ within and through you (see John 16:14). I am commanding you to say only what you hear from me." In other words, regardless of your emotions, perceptions, or observations, continue to declare the same message.

Saints, keep in mind that your confessions may be far removed from current realities, but you must not relax your hold on the Word. With unwavering zeal, persist in acknowledging every good thing that is in you in Christ Jesus (Read Philemon 1:6). If you recognize within yourself that God has designated you as a miracle worker, you should confidently declare yourself as such, even if you lack concrete testimonies to support your affirmation. Proclaim, "I am a miracle worker as ordained by God." Jesus said in Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

If you've prayed and no immediate change occurred, pray once more. If you've extended your hands to heal the sick without success, seek the next person and lay your hands upon them. If your attempt to cast out a demon encounters resistance, repeat the process. Command the adversary to silence and depart in the name of Jesus.

I said all of that to emphasize that we cannot afford to settle for anything less than God's Word. Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

In every circumstance you encounter this month, the Lord's message is clear: “Be anxious for nothing.” Therefore, hold firm to God's Word through your faith-filled declarations. The Lord instructs, “…but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” So when the promotion comes this month, it’s time for Thanksgiving. And when you hear someone else was promoted instead of you, it’s still time for Thanksgiving. Regardless of the situation, stand unwaveringly upon God's Word, move forward with humility, and offer your most heartfelt praise to God.

.

With that, I welcome you to November, the month to pray and thank God for everything.

Faith Filled Confession:

I refuse to be anxious about anything. Instead, I pray about everything with thanksgiving and I trust that my God hears me and answers all my prayers.

Prayer Points:

Psalm 122:6, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you."

  • Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

  • Pray against plans to use the crises in Israel to launch other attacks in the United States.

  • Pray for Washington and all who are in positions of authority in the United States.
