"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn..." (Isaiah 61:1-2)
Permit me to lead you in a prayer devotional today. You may speak in other tongues as you read on. Pray that the Spirit of the Lord GOD, which is upon you in this season, will be manifested through you in the form of preaching good news to those in need, whether they are brokenhearted or bound in any form.
Pray that this anointing would translate into an accurate receipt of guidance every time you engage in intercession such that beauty, joy, and praise overflow like a torrent as a result of supernatural testimonies that we will experience this month. As the scripture has said about the purpose of the anointing, "To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified." (Isaiah 61:3)
Pray for the ones to whom we are called to minister, whether through our corporate evangelism, Lunch Hour with Pastor E, or during all of our services "...that they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations" (Isaiah 61:4). Pray that they would not just hear and be converted at our word but that they will in turn, carry the fire of the gospel to their homes, schools, businesses and so on such that they participate with us in ministry for the Lord has said that "Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, And the sons of the foreigner Shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers" (Isaiah 61:5).
Pray, declaring that we are magnified in the hearts and eyes of the ones we have been called to reach. The word says, "But you shall be named the priests of the LORD, They shall call you the servants of our God. You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory you shall boast" (Isaiah 61:6)
Pray, declaring that we experience favor and massive financial and soul harvests in all of our churches. "Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs. "For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery for burnt offering; I will direct their work in truth, And will make with them an everlasting covenant." (Isaiah 61:7-8)
Finally, pray that there would be a proliferation of righteousness and righteous people in the communities around our churches as a result of the corporate anointing on our ministry and that the salvation message that we share will be embraced with rapt attention (according to Isaiah 61:9-11)
Give God thanks for answered prayers because He heard you as you prayed this devotional.
Have a beautiful day.
