Ephesians 6:18
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people.”
1 Corinthians 14:2
“For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit.”
Romans 8:26
“In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”
Several years ago, I needed a specific amount of money for a project that was time-sensitive, and at the time, I simply did not have it. I remember saying to the Lord, “Lord, I cast this one on You.” Later that same day, I entered into deep communion with Him—praying in the Spirit and meditating on the Word.
As I lingered in His presence, the burden I had been carrying lifted completely, and the peace of God overwhelmed my soul. While I was still in fellowship, someone I was not expecting came by—prompted by the Lord—and sowed a financial seed into my life that fully covered the project. This person had no knowledge of what I was facing; they simply obeyed the leading of the Spirit.
From that experience, I learned something profound: lingering in communion with the Holy Spirit is a sure way to dispel the fears and pressures of this world.
Praying in the Spirit allows us to draw from the realm of the supernatural. Romans 8:26 tells us that when we do not know how to pray, the Spirit Himself takes over and intercedes on our behalf. In my situation, I knew I needed provision, but I had no idea where it would come from. Yet as I prayed in the Spirit, not only did peace come, but divine arrangements were already being set in motion. The concern was handled before I ever saw the solution.
Tomorrow, we conclude our 21 days of fasting and praying. Some of you may still feel unclear about the direction of the year. You may be wondering how this year will be different from previous years, especially if you are still confronting familiar challenges—finances, marriage, health, children, or personal growth. You feel the need to do more, yet you don’t quite know how.
If this describes you, know this: you are not alone. Relax and allow God to have His way. God already knows your needs, and He has already provided solutions for the challenges you will face in 2026. The key to accessing those provisions is faith—expressed through fellowship and praying in the Spirit.
Even when nothing seems to be changing outwardly, keep your focus on Him. Turn your attention toward communion with the Holy Spirit. As you pray in the Spirit, the anointing will be stirred up within you, every fiery dart of the enemy will be quenched, and you will witness the glory of God draw divine provision toward you.
Prayer Points
Pray for yourself.
Pray in the Spirit, allowing the Holy Spirit to intercede through you according to the will of God.
Faith-Filled Confession
Thank You, Father, for enabling me to pray in the Spirit. Even when I do not understand my own words, I trust that You hear me—and because You hear me, my requests are granted. I walk in peace, clarity, and divine provision, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
