PRAY FOR THEM DAILY

11/7/2024

“‘Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me.  I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.” Acts 26:16-18

In Jeremiah 3:14-15 God said to the children of Israel “Return, O faithless children,” declares the LORD, “for I am your master, and I will take you—one from a city and two from a family—and bring you to Zion. Then I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” The expression “bring you to Zion” refers to salvation. But God did not stop there, He went on to say to these ones that He has saved “I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” In other words, no saved person is without a shepherd in the eyes of God. Did you notice also that the ones that God saved didn’t go on pastoral hunting, rather papa God choose who their pastor was going to be ever before they got saved. It’s just like you and I didn’t go to the mall looking for who our biological parent should be. I like to say your pastor is part of your salvation package, to reject one item in your salvation package is to reject all of it. Child of God, you are not anointed to decide what you want and don’t want in God plan for your life. God knows what you need, and your pastor is His plan for your life.

Hear me, your pastor was called because of you. In other words, you were the reason why he/she was anointed in the first place. If you weren’t saved, God would not have anointed him/her to carry out the work of God on your behalf. Since they were anointed in the first place for your benefit, it means their mandate has your name all over it. Meaning, the vision that God has placed in their heart was designed with your prosperity and wholeness in mind. Ephesians 4:11-13 says this “ And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:”

Since the vision of God for their life is for you, it is without doubt that you align yourself to the same mandate or vision of the Spirit of God in them for you. Amos 3:3 says “Can two walk together, except they be agreed? In other words, the prosperity of the mandate of your pastor requires that you are in agreement with them in spirit and in truth. Hebrews 13: 17 says “Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.” And one way to demonstrate your confidence in your pastor is to pray for him/her daily.

God bless you

Faith-Filled Confession

I am conscious of the Holy Spirit's promptings of my due season. My heart and mind are sensitive and I am prompt to do what the Spirit says for me to do, in the now of my life. I will pray for my pastor today, in Jesus name.

Prayer Direction

"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain" (1 Corinthians 15:58).

  1. Pray that God’s people will remain steadfast, fervent and unmovable in the face of contrary wind and storm.

  2. Pray that they will advance and blossom in all of God’s will concerning them.

  3. Pray that our church will experience a prolific growth and expansion this month. That the brethren will run with the vision like never before. That through them, the kingdom of God will increase.
