PRAY FOR THE UNITED STATES

"Blow the trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the LORD is coming, For it is at hand" (Joel 2:1).

From time to time, the role of the watchman is cast on us as a church, and at such times, our job is to stand our watch and intercede about the things that are on God’s mind about certain people, places, and future events. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 says, "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

Now, while our God, if you come to know Him, is capable of delivering very righteous and damning judgment to evildoers, His preference is to offer mercy. 2 Peter 3:9 tells us, "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."

That said, there are happenings and revelations about certain individuals in the United States that have been orchestrated to deceive large swathes of people into thinking that the adversary is on the back foot--and indeed, he is on the back foot, but not as much as he would want Christians to believe. The Bible says, "For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape" (1 Thessalonians 5:3).

The current political climate in the United States, too, is another smokescreen that would cause people to focus on the two contenders for the presidency while the enemy tries to embed himself and his agents in the lower echelons of government. Make no mistakes about it, the enemy with whom we wrestle likes to operate in the shadows. He cannot stand confrontation from a sober and vigilant church. 1 Peter 5:8 says, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."

Right now, pray for school boards, fire departments, and local police across America. Pray that the purposes of our Lord the Savior are established through their work; that mass salvations and the proliferation of the truth of the gospel are the outcome of all the work that these people put in. Pray that a fresh revelation of the Name, essence, and agenda of Jesus Christ seizes the public imagination in America and that before the end of this year, films, books, and legislation that normalize salvation and the truth of the Gospel become widespread across the country. Lastly, pray for evangelistic efforts in the form of music festivals, citywide church crusades, and revivals; that these events will receive massive receptions in the forms of council permits, large attendance, and explosive salvations.

Declare that this year many will say, “God came to town” in many parts of America. Speak in tongues as intensely and as long as you can about these things.

Faith-Filled Confession

I am God’s voice of faith to the United States of America. Therefore, no weapon formed against the nation will prosper. Instead, the plans and agenda of God to bring about mass salvations everywhere in America are set in motion. I see the testimonies everywhere I go from henceforth for it is that day when the Lord gathers the outcasts to Himself. Hallelujah!

Prayer Points

Right now, pray for school boards, fire departments, and local police across America. Pray that the purposes of our Lord the Savior are established through their work; that mass salvations and the proliferation of the truth of the gospel are the outcome of all the work that these people put in. 

Pray that a fresh revelation of the Name, essence, and agenda of Jesus Christ seizes the public imagination in America and that before the end of this year, films, books, and legislation that normalize salvation and the truth of the Gospel become widespread across the country. 

Lastly, pray for evangelistic efforts in the form of music festivals, citywide church crusades, and revivals; that these events will receive massive receptions in the forms of council permits, large attendance, and explosive salvations
