PRAISE THAT IS INDEPENDENCE OF CIRCUMSTANCE

12/10/2022

"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand, there are pleasures forevermore (Psalm 16:11).

A fellow once said, "Everything was okay until someone showed up." But Psalm 118:24 says, "This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it." Why allow anyone or anything to take you away from your place of praise and joy. Here is the truth, no one, not even the devil, can give you a bad day.

If this fellow was really having a great day that was rooted in the Word, nothing would have been able to change it. Jesus put it this way: "Everyone then who hears these words of Mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it" (Matthew 7:24-27).

The one that built his house on the sand can be likened to the fellow who was having a great day until he was faced with a challenge. The challenge was able to change his experience because he was not operating his day according to the Word. Now, someone may ask, "What if someone lost a job, house, car, or a multi-billion dollar deal, are they still expected to stay joyful and praise God?" The answer is a resounding YES! When your day is rooted in the Word, none of these things can change it. If you are truly conducting your day by the Word and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, your only response to the loss of a house, car, job, or billion-dollar deal would be to praise God and rejoice! James 1:2 says, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds." Hallelujah! In other words, give no room for despair, sadness, or defeat. No matter what comes your way, consider it pure joy.

David said in Psalm 16:11, "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." Saint, this is your life; you live in God's presence 24/7, and in His presence is fullness of joy, and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore. So, look beyond whatever imperfection that the day may bring and declare that your life is full of joy and peace. Look beyond and see God working in you and rejoice because victory is your name. Declare that this day is one of strength and beauty in Jesus' name.

Faith-Filled Confession:

I'll sing praises to the Lord, for He is God. I will exalt His name forever. The Lord is the source of all my joy; I will praise Him with all that I am. He has made known to me the path of life. In His presence, I have fullness of joy; at His right hand, I enjoy pleasures forevermore. Hallelujah!
