"Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy" (Jude 1:24).
Regardless of what is going on in your life today, you must REJECT the feeling of hopelessness and defeat. Just because everything around you tells you that you are doomed doesn't mean you are. If God doesn't call you doomed, you must reject such feelings. Listen, you are bigger than the situation that you are faced with right now.
Pastor, what if I brought this on myself? Then learn from Hezekiah, who was able to turn things around even after God said his life was over. Hezekiah had brought calamity upon himself because of his disobedience. But when he turned his face toward God and asked for mercy, not only did God forgive him, but Papa God also extended His life by fifteen more years. And this was after he heard from the Almighty God that his life was over. He could have had the attitude of, "God has said my life is over. So, I might as well drink myself to death." But he didn't! Instead, he turned his face to the wall and began to call on the name of the Lord. In Isaiah 38:4-6, the Bible says, "Then the word of the Lord came to Isaiah: "Go and tell Hezekiah, 'This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city."
Child of God, there is nothing that the enemy desires more than to see you lose faith in God's Word. He preys on your perceived inadequacies. He will amplify what others are saying about you until he can convince you that your life is worth nothing. But hear me; your life is priceless! Your future is within reach, and God has His hand all over it. No matter the severity of the situation before you, it is nothing with God. In Jeremiah 32:27, God said to the prophet, "I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" Precious saint, don't be deceived by the enormity of whatever is before you; your God is greater. In Isaiah 40:28-31, the prophet here is stirring our imagination to what the Almighty is capable of doing. He said, "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary." I believe the Lord is saying to you, "Wait on the Lord, and you will see the expectation of our heart come to pass." Don't get beat down spiritually. God is never late.
Now, turn that hopeless feeling into praise. Turn away from the things and people that discourage and sow unbelief in your heart. Focus on what God is doing and praise Him for the little miracle you see.
God bless you!
Faith-Filled Confession:
I have been called into a life of grace, joy, peace, health, and wealth. I am set on course for victory upon victory. I will not be brought under or down by any satanic, human, natural, or systematic force. I live under an open heaven. I am planted on the Rock – Jesus. Joy unspeakable, full of glory–that's my life! Hallelujah!
