“But for you who revere My name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves” (Malachi 4:2).
Malachi 4 gives us a prophetic picture of what happens on the day of salvation. Verse 1 declares, “Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble… not a root or a branch will be left to them.” The “arrogant” and “evildoers” represent all who reject the gospel of God’s Son, Jesus.
But the Lord draws a line of distinction. He continues, “But for you who revere My name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves. Then you will trample on the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act” (Malachi 4:2–3).
In other words, all of creation and all the systems of this world are subject to the believer in Christ. The world is not master over the Christian; the Christian—born of God—overcomes the world. Scripture affirms this boldly: “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world—even our faith” (1 John 5:4).
Saints, we are the ones upon whom the Sun of Righteousness has risen. We are God’s trophies of righteousness—marked, distinguished, and empowered. We may look like everyone else outwardly, but we are not of the same kind. We may feel what others feel, but we have within us the anointing that guarantees triumph in every situation.
1 John 4:17 declares, “As He is, so are we in this world.” That means we should expect nothing less than what Jesus experienced and demonstrated. If Christ subdued the world, then the world is permanently subdued under us.
With this understanding, let thanksgiving rise from your heart. Walk with confidence. Celebrate your victory. There is nothing in this world—no sickness, no disease, no pain, no condition—that can overturn what Jesus accomplished for you. If your body was purchased with a price, then sickness has no legal ground to remain.
Remember this, saints: You are not a victim, and you cannot be a victim. Settle this truth deep within you. It is too late for you to lose. God has called you out of the arena of sickness, defeat, and oppression.
So arise. Spread out with thanksgiving. Open your mouth throughout the day and give God praise that matches the greatness of His work in your life.
Faith-Filled Confession
The Sun of Righteousness has risen upon me with healing in His wings. Therefore, I walk in freedom, I overflow with joy, and I live in divine abundance. (Malachi 4:2). Hallelujah!
