OVERCOMING THE NORMALIZING POWER OF THE WORLD

"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." (1 John 4:4)
The nature of your ancestry is divine and, as such, has a superseding ability over the system of this world. With all its intelligence, commerce, and appeal to self-gratification, the system of this world is no match for how the Kingdom of God operates. This reminds me of the childhood fable of the tortoise and the hare in which the tortoise emerges as the winner of the race despite the antics and capabilities of the hare. With all the shenanigans of the world's system, the Kingdom of God's system emerges triumphant every time.
However, before I digress, Romans 12:2 says, "And do not be conformed to this world..." The world's system thrives by normalizing the fallen nature of humanity, even among believers who have the divine life pulsating in their veins. The three major channels by which the world's system operates: societal norms, commerce, and the lure of instant gratification, are designed to make you conform to the fallen human state or consciousness, ultimately leading to death.
These are the reasons why some Christians fall sick, live broke, suffer defeat, and never live an aspirational life. Jesus shed light on this agenda of the devil to de-emphasize divinity and emphasize humanity in Matthew 16:23 when He said, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."
Much of popular culture is designed to normalize human failure, causing masses to conform to the rudiments of the world system. It is a system that runs on three principles: the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life (according to 1 John 2:16).
However, our system operates in the diametric direction. In Mark 4:26-27, the Bible says, "And He said, "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how." In other words, the Kingdom of God operates in such a way that you scatter seed on the ground. Now we know the seed to be the Word of God (according to Luke 8:11) and the ground to be your heart (according to Luke 8:15). The expression, "...and should sleep by night and rise by day" means that the seed in the ground is watered and tended by profuse confessions of the God's Word (see Ephesians 5:26) so that subconsciously, the seed germinates and a harvest manifests.
Now, even though the enemy starts with a system that seems different from God's system, his system is designed to engineer lust and pride in your heart as seeds. Once he has successfully engineered the seeds of lust and pride in your heart, his system follows God's system of seedtime and harvest. James 1:13-15 says, "Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death."
The good news, however, is that in the realm of seed engineering, the Word of God is the most superior, and even the seeds of the enemy cannot match the Word of God. In Mark 4:30-32, Jesus emphasizes the superseding quality of the Word of God as seed over every other seed. Mark 4:30-32 says, "Then He said, "To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade." Notice that it grows and becomes greater than every other herb, dwarfing them. Irrespective of everything or anything that was contrary, that had found expression in your life up until now, the seed of the Word as it takes roots and germinates, dwarfs and displaces such contrary things now. In the name of Jesus. Amen. For has the Spirit not said that so mightily grew the Word of God in and from you and prevailed? (Acts 19:20) Yet the Spirit says, "It has prevailed in your life! It has prevailed in your business and in your family so that everything that contested for My glory in these areas has been displaced in Jesus' name.
Now let your "Amen" be resounding, for the Greater One, in you has prevailed to launch you into a new realm of glory. Hallelujah!
Faith-Filled Confession
It is a new day for me and my family. It is a day of victory and favor. It is a day of rejoicing and triumphal singing because the seed of the Word of the Lord has prevailed in and for me over the outside circumstances and symptoms that seem contrary and contradictory. I have inside information of my victory and the vanquishing of enemy incursions. My praise is unending. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah ! and Hallelujah!
