“Did not our hearts burn within us while He talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32).
One of the greatest gifts God has given to the believer is His presence. There is nothing in this world that can compare to the peace, joy, and confidence that comes from knowing that God is with you. Circumstances may change, challenges may arise, but the presence of God remains constant.
The presence of God brings strength to the weary, comfort to the brokenhearted, and peace in the middle of uncertainty. It gives the believer the ability to stand firm even when everything around them seems unstable. This is why the people of the world may not understand your joy during difficult moments. They see the pressure, but they cannot see the One sustaining you from within.
After His resurrection, Jesus walked with two disciples on the road to Emmaus and explained the Scriptures to them. Later they said, “Did not our hearts burn within us?” That burning was the effect of His presence. There is something powerful that happens when you spend time in God’s Word. His presence becomes more real to you, your faith is strengthened, and your heart is filled with divine confidence.
Moses understood the value of God’s presence when he declared, “If Your presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.” Today, believers carry an even greater reality because the Holy Spirit lives within us. Jesus promised that He would never leave nor forsake us. Whether you feel it emotionally or not, His presence is with you always.
Child of God, learn to acknowledge His presence daily. Spend time with Him in prayer and in the Word. Talk with Him throughout your day. The more conscious you become of His presence, the more you will walk in peace, boldness, and assurance.
You are never alone. God is with you, strengthening you, guiding you, and working all things together for your good.
Faith-Filled Confession:
The presence of God is alive in me and with me every day. My heart is filled with peace, joy, and confidence because I know I am never alone. The Holy Spirit strengthens me, guides me, and causes me to walk in victory. Through Christ, I can do all things. Hallelujah!
