NO MORE EXCUSES

2/4/2026

“Jesus said to him, ‘Let the dead bury their dead; but go and preach the kingdom of God.’” (Luke 9:60)

There will always be a reason not to obey God if you are looking for one. Responsibilities, relationships, careers, and even legitimate obligations can easily become excuses that delay obedience. When Jesus spoke these words, He was not being insensitive or dismissive of human responsibility; He was emphasizing divine priority. The call of God must never be treated as secondary. When obedience to God is delayed, destiny is delayed.

God does not call people randomly. Before He called you, He already knew your schedule, your family responsibilities, your limitations, and your challenges. Yet, He still chose you. This means that your current situation is not a hindrance to God—it is only a hindrance if you allow it to be. When God calls, He also supplies the grace, strength, and ability to respond. Philippians 2:13 reminds us that it is God who works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

Child of God, let nothing—no matter how reasonable it may seem—stand in the way of advancing the gospel. Obedience must be immediate and complete. When you put God first, everything else will fall into its proper place.

Faith-Filled Confession:

I refuse to delay my obedience to God. I trust His ability at work in me, and I prioritize the gospel above every excuse. Through the power of the Spirit, I boldly fulfill my divine assignment, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
