NO LIFE WITHOUT THE WORD

"They are not just idle words for you—they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess" (Deuteronomy 32:47).

Before I went into the ministry, I remember lying down in this empty and dusty classroom crying out to God about the task He was asking me to undertake. I knew it wasn't going to be by human ability but by the Holy Ghost. I remember asking God what He wanted of me. I was expecting He would say something like, "Fast for forty days." But He didn't. To my surprise, He said, "I don't want anything but your obedience to my Word." Twenty years plus after, God is still saying the same thing.

Our obedience to God's Word determines our success in life. 

We cannot claim that we are living for God if we are not doers of His Word. And living for God is a lifestyle of displaying the character of the Holy Ghost. Joshua said, "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful" (Joshua 1:8). To the new creation church, God has said, "I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth" (3 John 1:2). So, whether your name is Joshua, David, Oliver, Antonia, La Quetta, Marcos, Abu, Carlos, or Hernandez, the Word is still the only thing that guarantees good success. Not only does the Word guarantee your success, but the Word is also your life. 

David said in Psalm 119:67, "Before I was afflicted I went astray; but now I observe thy word." I like to say that if one is rooted and settled in the Word, it doesn't matter who and what stands in their way; the Word of God will prevail over them all. If you are grounded in the Word concerning your divine health, it doesn't matter that the doctor says you have cancer. The Word on your lips will cause that cancer to dematerialize. If you have the Word in you, the world around you will conform sooner than later to the reality of God in your spirit. 

I asked the Lord at the start of my ministry journey what He wanted of me because I wanted Him to tell me what I needed to do to fight against the demons and challenges that would come against me. But His answer was simple. He asked me to walk in the light of His Word and assured me that nothing would stand against me successfully. Then He said, "Everything that you require for success and fulfillment will come to you before you ask." 

I said all that to say to you, if you would let God's Word abide in you and walk in the light of it, you will be a wonder to your world. And all these things that people are killing themselves to get will come to you in abundance. So if you are a believer in Jesus, settle and grow your knowledge of the Word. Apply it promptly, and you will see a part of God that you have never experienced before. Saint, it's time to grow and glow. May I remind you that the world around you awaits the God in you to shine? So get into communion with the Holy Ghost and answer the cries of millions around the world.

Faith-Filled Confession: 

I give myself wholly to the Word of God. And the Word builds me up and gives me access to all that is mine in Christ. I am dead to every act of unrighteousness. I have the nature of God, and I choose to live a life that proceeds from my new nature in Christ.
