MIX THE WORD WITH FAITH

03/22/2023

“For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.” Hebrews 4:2

When God speaks, He does not speak to your senses, rather, He speaks to your spirit. His Words are spirit and they are life (John 6:63). If you recall how God created the heavens and the earth, it was by His Word. Hebrews 4:12 declares, “For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]...” What many of God’s people have failed to realize is that, whenever God gives His Word, it is the giving of Himself. This is the very reason why no word from God is ever void of power (Luke 1:37). For the Word is God (John 1:1). For example, when God's Word is spoken over a situation, it is God literally colliding with that situation. Jesus put it so succinctly in Matthew 21:44, He said, “And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.” Think about it for a moment. If lack and disease collide with God, what do you think would be their state afterward? Jesus said you can consider them as good as dead. Glory!

Since the Word is divine in nature and character, it therefore means that every Word that God speaks has the ability to self-produce or manifest. Does that mean we don't need to have faith in the Word? Absolutely not! When God spoke in Genesis 1 in the creation of the Earth, the earth did not need to have faith to bring the Word to pass. Rather, the Word manifested Himself in power and glory. The Holy Spirit brought forth the Word into being. The reason is because the earth is not a spirit. However, when God speaks a Word to you that requires your faith response, unless and until there is a response of faith on the Word, there will be no manifestation. When the Word is given, it is deposited into your spirit and lays there waiting on a faith response. In that Word, lies all the power and glory for manifestation. In other Words, when God gives you His Word, it is a done deal. Your responsibility is to make it a done deal in your life. Make good the Word of God in this realm of life by simply responding with your spirit in faith. Praise God!

I remember trying to get a piece of equipment to work and after several unsuccessful attempts, just about when I was starting to get irritated, I prayed about it.  As I was about to repeat what I had been doing before praying, God asked me, “Do you trust me?” My reply was, “Yes!” Then He said to me, “Seat down.” Seat down? I thought to myself. Then the Lord said to me, “If you asked me to help you to get this thing working, you will have to let me do it. As long as you are trying to fix it yourself, I cannot help you.” So I sat down and left it alone and for some divine reason I forgot about it. By the time I remembered, which was thirty minutes later, the equipment was functioning better than before. Praise God!

Yes I prayed. However, the miracle was only brought into fruition when I responded to God's instruction which was, “Seat down.” Learn to respond to God’s Word with your spirit and see the manifestation of the Glory of His Word.

God Bless You!
