MIND MELDING

03/23/2023

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2)

What does it mean to be born again? Many times, you hear people say they are born again and it almost sounds cliche. To be born again means to be and to become one with God such that there is no distinction between you and Him. Now, the human person is spirit, soul and body and the moment you declare the lordship or ownership of Jesus Christ over your life, you are joined to God instantly. 1 Corinthians 6:17 says "But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him." From God's standpoint, He has paid for you and the moment you receive His lordship, His Spirit fuses with your spirit so that the two become one new divine creation. 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 says, "Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee."

When you get born again, you are at once, one spirit with the Lord but you are not one soul. The process of becoming one soul with God is what today's theme scripture is about. Romans 12:2 says, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." When you got born again, your spirit was immediately saved but your soul was not, otherwise why would James 1:21 say to the saints, "Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls"? Though their spirits were saved, their souls weren't until they apply the implanted Word of God. The word "implanted" is suggestive of an ingraining of the Word of God until your mind is melding with God's on any and every subject.

Stop for a second and think, if your mind is melding with God's can you be sick, poor or unmoved by the lost? Can an agent of darkness survive in your presence? Your mind is the source material for your life for as a man thinks in his heart, so is he ( see Proverbs 23:7). Imagine that you were of the same mind as the Lord about His presence (according to Psalm 114:2-6), which you carry? Who would be able to stand against you successfully?

So now, you may wonder, how do I meld my mind with God's? You do it through meditation. 1 Timothy 4:15 says, "Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all." As you meditate on the word of God, it takes possession of your soul so that your every response is in tandem with how God would have responded in the same situation.

If you are wondering how to deliver wonders this year, this is the secret. You put aside all your thoughts and meld your soul with the Lord through His word until your responses are exactly like His.

Have a great day!

Faith-Filled Confession

I realize a oneness of mind with God through the secret of meditation on His word. I think as God thinks and my outcomes from hereon are the outcomes of the Lord. Hallelujah!
