MIND MANAGEMENT

08/27/2023

"Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder)" (2 Peter 3:1).

When you came to Christ, one of the miracles that occurred was that you received the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16 says, "For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ." This mind is responsible for the clarity that you have anytime the Word of God comes to you.

The mind of Christ operates like a dynamo meaning that it ought to be stirred and never left for long without stirring. Today's theme scripture unpacks so much in a single verse that it could activate so much possibility, even beyond your richest imagination.

Peter says, "Beloved..." to imply that you are especially loved by the Lord and worthy of His best. Hallelujah! Then the Apostle goes on to say, "I write you this rejoinder" meaning that the ministry of word is not a one time affair but a series of reminders. You study the Word over and over. You meditate on it. You pray with it and speak it forth. The relationship you have with the Word is both daily and lifelong.

But the more important part is that the Word of God is the instrument for stirring up purity in your mind without which the dirty sediments of the world will take centerstage there. James 1:21 confirms this when it says, "Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls." If you are not giving yourself constantly to the ministry of the word, filthiness and wickedness become a feature of your life.

This is why you must make time for the Word daily through study, meditation and proclamations. There are divine things that would only find expression in your life from a pure mind through an obsession with the word is the key; purring over the Bible again and again.

Have a beautiful day.

Faith-Filled Confession:

I take responsibility for the management of my mind. I surrender it to the dominion of God's word. And as I stir up my mind with the Word, the sediments of the flesh are sieved out such that my mind is a pulsating tool of God to bring into manifestation divine purposes, plans and pursuits in Jesus' name. Amen

Prayer Affirmation :

I affirm that I am the temple of the Holy Ghost and my body functions for God. Therefore, every organ, tissue and cell in my body complies with God's Word. My body is not sustained by blood, but by the vitalizing power of the Holy Spirit in me. I declare that the Holy Spirit is at work in me; therefore, my body is daily renewed! I dwell continually in health through the working of His mighty power in me. Hallelujah!!!
