LOVE PEOPLE THE GOD WAY

“If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God's secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn't love others, I would be nothing” (1 Corinthians 13:2 AMP).

The hallmark of the Christian life is love. Love must power everything we say and do if we will be effective and glorify God. Galatians 5:6 says, “For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.” In other words, love makes faith effective. Better still, love make us effective and productive in the things of God. And if love fuels faith, then it must be the same for all spiritual gifts. Paul alluded to this in 1 Corinthians 13:2 when he said, “If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God's secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains but didn't love others, I would be nothing.”

John 13:34, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” Notice that Jesus didn’t say we should love others as we love ourselves, but as He loves us. Meaning, we must love others the way we profess we love God.

Saint, love for others is the way to a life of glory. Paul, the apostle, understood the power of walking in love. In his prayer for the church at Ephesus, he said, "and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God" (Ephesians 3:19 NIV). In other words, the fullness of God is predicated on knowing and walking in the love of Christ. Listen to me, there is nothing that hinders the adversary's ability like a Christian who knows Christ's love and walks in it.

Say this: "I know that God loves me with an eternal love because He proved it by the sacrifice of His son Jesus. I know that God is thinking of me right at this moment. I know that God is working everything together for my good. I know that God is more interested in my success than I could ever be. I know that God's will for me is prosperity and health. And I declare that the anointing of God has pulverized the expectation of the wicked, naysayers, and the flesh. I live an excellent life. I am an oasis of kindness and love to my world. I am victorious over all that is negative. I am not a needy person because God has already supplied all of my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

Child of God, Romans 8:32 (NLT) says, "Since He did not spare even His own Son but gave Him up for us all, won't He also give us everything else?" Emphatically YES! The good news is that He already did. 1 Timothy 6:17 (NKJV) says God "…gives us richly all things to enjoy." Hallelujah! He did all of these and immeasurably more just to say to you, "I LOVE YOU." And since He has proven His love for you, now allow others to experience this same love when they meet you. Be an oasis of love today. Place a premium on everyone that you see today. In Jesus name!
