LIVING THE GOD-LIFE THROUGH THE WORD

01/25/2024

"These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God" (1 John 5:13).

Recognizing that you have the God-life in you comes by interaction with the Word of God through meditation and speaking in tongues. You simply have to fellowship with the God-life through your spirit to partake in it. In Philemon 1:6, the Bible says, "that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." The word translated as "sharing" in Philemon 1:6 may also be replaced with the word "transportation" or "fellowship" for better understanding.

The import of this is that as you acknowledge what the Word of God says is already in you, you are transported deeper and deeper in your understanding of the God-life that you have received. For example, the Bible declares that "...the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law" (Galatians 5:22-23 AMP). This means that you have these qualities in you. You don't need to pray to be kind or self-controlled; it's already in you. The reason you may not be exhibiting these qualities is that you have not acknowledged the presence of these things in you.

So how do I acknowledge these things that are in me in Christ Jesus, someone might ask? By making confessions and acting in agreement with the Word of God. The Word of God was written so that you can practice the God-life. Another question that might percolate is how does God live? God lives by His spoken Word. The Bible declares that God is, by His Word (John 1:1); God does, by His Word (Colossians 1:16), and God possesses all things by His Word (Hebrews 1:3). As you make confessions and act in accordance with God's Word, you demonstrate your capacity to live the God-life.

This year, recognize that you have been summoned to the throne room in Christ Jesus, and His life is your life. His life in you will become increasingly apparent as you engage with the Spirit of His Word through meditation and prayer. Today, I leave you with a parable from Colossians 3:4, which says, "When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory."

Have a glorious day!

Faith-Filled Confession

I live the God-live by meditating and praying the Word of God. I am what the Word says I am. I can do what the Word says I can do and I have what the Word says I have. Hallelujah!

Prayer Point

  • Begin with thanksgiving and praise for the grace, wisdom, and knowledge to stay afire for God.

  • Speak in tongues and declare that every God-ordained and inspired plan for the next 30 days will be executed without delay or hindrance.
