“For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” (John 1:17)
Jesus said, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32). What then is truth? Truth is reality — it is everything that aligns with the Lordship of Jesus Christ over heaven, earth, and hell. It is the knowledge of God that is consistent with His life and nature in Christ Jesus. Truth is not merely information; it is a person. Jesus boldly declared, “I am the Truth…” (John 14:6).
Truth validates and authenticates. It is the final authority and the end of all knowledge because it is absolute. No wonder Isaiah declared, “Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?” (Isaiah 53:1). Truth is divine and not common; it is not something to be grasped merely by intellect but is imparted into your spirit by the Holy Ghost. It comes through deep fellowship with Him and is available only to those who are born again.
Truth makes men victorious, successful, healthy, wise, and excellent. There is no one who has encountered the Truth and remained the same. I have never seen anyone who embraced Truth and ended up a failure. Brother, sister — what you need is Truth! Many live in misery because they lack Truth. Many believers struggle to walk in the light of their salvation simply because they have not embraced the Truth.
The apostle John declared, “This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5). When you walk in Truth, you walk in light — and it is impossible to walk in darkness at the same time. Then he says, “If we say we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.” (v.6). You cannot truly fellowship with Truth and at the same time manifest darkness. Jesus said it best: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”(John 8:12).
Until Truth takes lordship over your thinking, you will not experience the full manifestation of God’s glory in your life. Until the Truth of your victory in Christ gains ascendancy in your soul, you will struggle with things you already have dominion over.
Many Christians still strive to overcome sinful habits. But Truth says, “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.” (Romans 6:14). The struggle is unnecessary! What is needed is the impartation of Truth.
Truth prevails against every unfavorable circumstance and every sinful tendency. Concerning your health, prosperity, peace, and progress — what you need is Truth. Jesus said that if anyone would follow Him through His Word in any area of their lives, they would not walk in darkness but would manifest the light of life. Hallelujah!
Now that you are born again, it is no longer necessary for you to suffer or struggle another day of your life. The essence of Christ’s death and resurrection was for you to have and enjoy a fulfilled, victorious, and satisfied life.
Go for the Truth! Don’t settle for assumptions or mere facts. Truth is Christ and His revealed Word. The quality of your life is determined by the degree of Truth working in your spirit.
Jesus said to Martha, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” (John 11:40). That same call rings out today: if you would believe God’s Word above your feelings, above assumptions, above facts, you will see the glory of God manifest in your life.
Saints, design your life around the Word. Give it first place every single day. Open your Bible and study it for yourself. Let the Truth dominate your thoughts and guide your steps.
God bless you!
Faith-Filled Confession
Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your Word that is sown in my spirit. Today, I give my undivided attention to the wisdom and inspiration of Your Word. I declare that I am a victor over darkness and all the cohorts of hell. I choose Truth over assumptions and facts today. I choose Truth over my past experiences. I declare that the Truth of God’s Word is working mightily in me, and I see its power prevailing over every contrary circumstance in my life. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
