"Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord? If I am not an apostle to others, yet doubtless I am to you. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 9:1-2).
In today’s world, it’s easy to get distracted by messages meant for others. Imagine opening someone else’s mail—a serious offense in the natural world. Similarly, in the spiritual realm, ignoring your apostle’s message can be just as detrimental.
So, who is your apostle? It’s the person God has specifically appointed to minister to you. In Jeremiah 3:15, the Lord promises, “And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” These shepherds—your apostles—carry messages tailored for you, directly from God. It doesn’t matter if you don’t like the messenger, or if you think you’re more qualified or knowledgeable. What truly matters is the message they bring on God’s behalf.
The answers you seek are in the words God places in their mouths. If you choose to listen to someone outside of God’s designated messenger, you’re depriving yourself of the very guidance you need. This is why many believers find themselves stuck in prolonged struggles. Psalm 107:20 declares, “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” God sends specific messengers with specific messages for specific situations.
Do not shortchange yourself any longer. Make the message from your pastor or apostle a priority, and watch your life transform. God’s word is designed to bring profound change when you receive it through the channel He’s chosen. If you allow God to guide you through His appointed messengers, you’ll overcome challenges much sooner than you ever thought possible.
Faith-Filled Confession:
I open my heart to the apostles God has placed in my life, giving intentional attention to the messages they bring. I prioritize God’s word from their mouths, knowing that the deliverance I need is revealed through the word they bear. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
PRAYER DIRECTION
1. Pray in tongues for your family. Proclaim the name of the Lord Jesus over them, with peace, health, protection, righteousness, prosperity, and grace.
2. Pray in the Spirit and prophesy as the Spirit inspires for the deliverance of children and teens from satanic ideologies, worldly lusts, and the corrupting influences of this world, especially through social media, video games, and entertainment (2 Thessalonians 3:1-2).
One-Year Bible Reading Plan: Psalm 142-144; 1 Corinthians 10:14-33
