“Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)
One of the ways to receive maximally from a Spirit-organized event is to let the Lord set your expectations. You can do this by praying about the program, with your mind on God’s agenda for you regarding the program, even if you don’t know exactly what God’s plans are.
Romans 8:26 says, “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” God’s agenda for you at a conference can have so many ramifications and layers that you do not fathom. This is why you ought to have spent some time praying in the spirit.
The next thing you do is study your Bible with the intention of learning God’s mind for you about the meeting so that you know what is due to you and how to respond when it comes. Now, you may be led to certain portions of the Bible or it may even be the portion that you read during your regular devotion. As you study the Bible, after you must have prayed in tongues about the meeting, some scriptures with which you engage, will stand out in your heart to indicate God’s mind.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” You will without any human intervention what God intends to achieve in you and how during this time of study.
Recognize that every revelation of the word of God in your heart is always an indicator of something God wants to accomplish in your life, about which you have prayed. So, don’t just pray about some random expectations. Have the Lord set them because it makes world of difference.
Speak in tongues now about the meetings this weekend and let His word speak to you as you spend some time in Bible study.
Have a great day!
Faith-Filled Confession
I declare my delight in the Lord and His desires are made known to me. These desires become my desires and I pleasure the Lord. Hallelujah!
