LAYING HOLD ON ETERNAL LIFE: REBELLIOUS SITUATIONS

06/07/2024

“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses” (1 Timothy 6:12).

The Christian life is a life from heaven. Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.” In other words, the believer in Christ has a different type of life, a divine life.

What many do not immediately realize is that the life of God, lived by a person, will be challenged by rebellious spirits and situations. There will be defiances. Even Jesus’ life was challenged by Satan when he tempted the Master three times in the wilderness.

Make no mistakes about it, inasmuch as you have the life of God in you, you will be confronted by rebellious situations. The good fight of faith is the only requirement for putting down these situations and living triumphantly.

The incidence of rebellion in your life could manifest as various challenges, such as symptoms of distress or financial difficulties. These challenges might include a continuous cycle of unemployment and disappointment.

Your duty is not to cower at such times but to fight the good fight. How? You start by getting scripture together and meditating until saturation. For example, God said at the beginning of the year that there would be many babies this year. Now, if you have been trying for a child and you have been resisted by the enemy, get scriptures that relate to childbearing and begin to meditate.

Many people deeply entrenched in deliverance ministry often don't realize that the primary mechanism for deliverance is found in Scripture. Psalm 107:20 says, "He [God] sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions."

Don’t underestimate the power of meditation as a means of resisting and overcoming rebellious situations. 2 Peter 1:19 says, “And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.” When you meditate long enough you allow the morning star arise in your heart such that when it does, nothing can stand against you in prayer or prophecy.

Have an excellent day!

Faith-Filled Confession

I understand God’s requirement to meditate on His word, day and night. There is an answer for my advancement in the scriptures and as I meditate, I am one mind with God. Hallelujah!

Prayer Direction

  • Pray over your family declaring that each day this month will usher in good news.

  • Declare that they are delivered from every form of evil and wickedness in Jesus' name

  • Refute every claim of failure, stagnation, and death over them in Jesus' name

  • Declare that your day is full of the mercy, grace, and goodness of God. That favor follows you everywhere today in Jesus' name.
