JOY IS A WEAPON

"Therefore with joy, you will draw water from the wells of salvation" (Isaiah 12:3).

Joy is a weapon that nullifies the scheme of darkness to the extent that sickness cannot withstand its presence. Proverbs 17:22 says, "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones." It's essential to recognize that operating in God's power requires a joyful attitude. Isaiah 12:3 declares, "With joy, you will draw water from the wells of salvation." In essence, without joy, you can not enjoy the fullness of your rights and authority in Jesus Christ. 

Joyfulness is significant because of what it delivers. It delivers boldness to your spirit, making you a terror to the kingdom of darkness. When you are joyful, your vision comes alive; you hear and see what God is saying and doing. Joyfulness also energizes, vitalizes, and causes your body to glow with divinity. And when this happens, you become a transportable force field that disrupts the activities of darkness wherever you go. 

In Joshua 6:10, as commanded by the Lord, ".. Joshua commanded the army, "Do not give a war cry, do not raise your voices, do not say a word until the day I tell you to shout. Then shout!" This was not an ordinary shout; it was their shout of victory. It was a shout of triumph. It was a shout of joy. And when they did as commanded by the Lord, the walls of Jericho fell down flat. When you study Joshua 6, you will notice that there was no physical reason for their excitement. What they had before them was a fortified city, what you may regard as hopelessness. However, in the mind of God, Jericho was a city that Joshua and the children of Israel had taken. Even though it was not so in the physical, God said shout! And as they did, their victory was brought into tangible manifestation. This tells us something about the way God speaks. He speaks to us from the future, not our past or present. When God speaks, we only have one option, and it is to shout for Joy! 

Rejoice, saints, rejoice in the victory of Jesus and the revelation of His person. See yourself in Him and rejoice with your spirit. Shout for joy irrespective of what you see or feel in the natural. God never fails, and His plans for your life will come to pass. In Jesus' Name. Amen
