"Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?" (Acts 8:29-30)
This year is a very peculiar year and as I said at the crossover service, the Lord is moving like a pendulum to restore certain things and discard others because the time is short. The mood in heaven is very all-hands-on-deck, and sometimes, it may feel like you are in the military. Well, you are and one of the features of being in the army is that you can be deployed at any time to any place that your commander requires.
That said, today's theme scripture shows us one of such deployments. Phillip was asked to go and join a chariot occupied by a national dignitary of Ethiopia and he did not hesitate. In the same way, you will be asked to go and join yourself to certain countries, schools, companies or clubs even though you have no personal desire to go to those places. Do not hesitate.
The Bible says, "Whoever goes to war at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk of the flock?" (1 Corinthians 9:7) It means that everything you need for your deployment is also made available by God.
A chariot is akin to a containment of people and these people could be people of common or divergent interests. Your primary assignment to the chariot is to share the gospel. Making friends or performing any other roles within the chariot should not take precedence over your duty to share the gospel with its occupants.
And maybe you are already in a chariot of sorts. You just started at a new job or school. Perhaps you recently moved to a new country. Your deployment was for you to see action on the battlefield for souls and not to pass time on things without eternal value.
Make no mistakes about it, God has downloaded coordinates into your spirit on how to take that chariot for Him which is why you ought to pay attention to the Holy Spirit. He will show you what to do, so give Him your attention today.
The moment you become conscious of the chariot of your deployment, you will hear words of instruction and by God, move immediately into action. Introduce Him to those in the chariot and let Him do the rest.
Have a fantastic day.
Faith-Filled Confession
I am sensitive to the Holy Spirit concerning the chariot He has called me to join. I bear His gospel to the people in that chariot and they receive me as one sent to them with the message of deliverance. I am a success at my current deployment and I am moving from glory to glory. Hallelujah!
