“Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” (Jeremiah 1:11)
It matters what you see with the eyes of your spirit. Because your alignment with God is connected to what you see in the word of God for and to you. You’ve got to see your health, wealth and strength in the Word to live healthy, wealthy and strong.
Not many people see the way God sees them and for this reason alone, they live lives inferior to the quality of life the Lord might have had them live.
This is why Paul by the Holy Spirit initiated a prayer for the saints that you should pray for yourself and for those within your spiritual family, every day. In Ephesians 1: 17-18, we are enjoined to pray “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints…”
Your spiritual eyes are important because how understand God’s word to you in the moment is regulated by how well you can see spiritually.
For example, a Christian who prays for God to heal him or her is not seeing properly. Now, there is nothing wrong with praying to be healed if you have never been born again but if you are a believer in Christ, health came with the package that was your salvation. 1 Peter 2:24 NIV says, “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
You don’t pray for healing and health, you see it and then appropriate it as yours. And this is the same for everything that the Lord has made available to you in Christ Jesus.
There is a reason why your spiritual eyes are a frontier in the realm of the spirit and why the enemy also seeks to corrupt your spiritual sight by putting corrupting images before your physical eyes. And it is this, if you can trust your physical eyes more than your spiritual ones, then he can stunt your future prospects.
Saint, let the word of God orient how you see everything —physically and spiritually—in your life. What you see matters.
Have a great day
