"For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly" (Psalm 84:11).
There are no gimmicks to praying and receiving from God. God's will is for us to receive every time we pray. Our theme scripture says He will not withhold any good thing from us. Jesus said in Mark 11:24, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Therefore, the place of prayer is the place of receiving.
Why, then, do so many not see a manifestation of what they have asked of the Lord? To understand this, we must answer two other questions. Did they get a Word from God? And did God give them an instruction that requires action? We must answer these questions because God always answers our prayers by His Word. He instructs and directs us, and in carrying out His instruction, we see the manifestation of what we have asked of Him. Psalm 107:20 says, "Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress. He sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the Pit." We see in this scripture a people who were in distress and cried to the Lord. And in response to their cry, He gave them His Word and Healed them, affirming again that God's Word is His answer.
I heard the testimony of a woman who was dying from a large growth on her neck. While praying, the Lord instructed her to forgive someone she quarreled with at church (she had forgotten about this quarrel). Without hesitation, she went to the lady immediately, hugged her, and said, "I am sorry." She did this even though she was not at fault. Right away, the growth on her neck fell off, and she was delivered from death.
When you pray, listen for God's Word; listen for His instruction and do it quickly because your next miracle is connected to your obedience.
God bless you.
Faith-Filled Confession:
Father, I thank You for giving me all things in Christ Jesus. I see my life through Your Word. So, I pray, Your Word with all boldness, and I receive what I have asked for, and my joy is full because You are not slack on Your Word.
One-Year Reading Plan: Psalm 25-27; Acts 20:17-38
Prayer Point for Today
FIRST TIME GUEST
Pray and thank the Lord for all the new converts and first timers that came to our church services in the past few weeks; that they would be established and continue to grow in the knowledge of God's Word, walking in faith, and taking full advantage of our laid-down structures for their spiritual growth and development.
Acts 20: 32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
TEENS AND YOUNG PEOPLE:
Joel 2:28, "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions."
Pray for changes in the lives of our teenagers and young people. Pray for the impartation of our message and a greater move of God's Spirit in their lives.
CHURCH SERVICES
Luke 4:14, "And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about."
Prophesy that we are recording a significant attendance for these services. The Spirit of God directs the minds of our invitees and guests toward attending our services; no distraction will drift them away.
Affirm that the news of our services is spreading abroad like wildfire by the power of God's Spirit in every home, place of work, and business in the cities where we are located.
