I SAY REJOICE NO MATTER WHAT

5/13/2025

“I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing the praises of Your name, O Most High” (Psalm 9:2).

There is no credible reason for complaining as a child of God. Each day, we are presented with situations that could make us complain, and some of these situations provide legitimate grounds for complaining if evaluated from a logical perspective. But the scripture says, “Do all things without grumbling or questioning” (Philippians 2:14). Notice that it said “all things” not some things. Child of God, there is no glory in complaining. It only attracts and creates the right environment for darkness to thrive. James 3:16 says “For wherever there is jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition), there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices.”

Jesus was never one to complain or blame others for the challenges that He faced. Unlike John the Baptist, who at one point blamed Jesus for not coming to his rescue while he was in jail. John sent his disciples to ask Jesus in Matthew 11:13, "Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?” In other words, John was saying to Jesus, “Why aren’t You doing something about my situation?” People can complain all they want and blame others for why they are where they are, but at the end of the day, nobody but you is responsible for your situation, not even God can be blamed. Jesus’ response to John the Baptist made it clear that He was not responsible for John’s predicament. Because of everyone born of a woman until this time, John the Baptist was considered to be the greatest. He carried something that no one before him ever carried and so if he wanted to get out of that jail, he had the power to do so. He had what was necessary to change his situation.

So, do not take the bait of complaining; rather, rejoice! Even when you think you have a legitimate reason to complain, do not complain! Rejoice instead! Offer praise and thanksgiving to God, for that is the way to rise above it all. Jesus is our great example. When He was rejected by those who should have been His biggest fans, He didn’t get bitter and hurl insults on them. He didn’t call them “destiny killers” like some of us do today. He was amazed at their unbelief, but rather than act out of character, He continued to teach from village to village. So, no matter what you may face, “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4).

God bless you!

Faith Filled Confession:

I have been raised together with Christ and made to sit together with Christ in Heavenly places; far above sickness, lack, pain and every principality of darkness. I am one with my Father. I am born of His Spirit. I know who I am and I am alive to who I am in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!

Prayer Point

Ephesians 3:14-19 says, ‘For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according tothe riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to knowthe love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God’.

1. Pray for saints of God facing challenges in their health, family, finances, ministry, who have become weak in their faith, that they may be restored to strength and be vibrant in the Lord.

Act 10:38 says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him”. Isaiah 33:24 (NIV) says, “No one living in Zion will say, ”I am ill…”

2. Pray for children who are sick, especially those with mental health challenges, that they receive the good news of divine healing and health in Christ; God’s grace and mercy extended to them for quick recovery and perfection, as the healing power of Christ is manifested in their bodies.

“First of all, then I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, intercessions (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people, for kings and all who are in (positions of) high authority, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (AMP)

3. Declare a strong mobilization of angels all over children, frustrating and destroying the plans of individuals, schools, organizations, whose aim is to influence and pressure our children into anti Jesus behavior through tv shows, video games, extra curricular activities or peer group clubs.

Declare that their influence is cut off, all their evil plans and strategies directed at our kids come to nothing and all their investments in evil are wasted. In Jesus name.
