I DON’T WANT ANY OF THIS

5/23/2025

“Whoever spreads gossip betrays confidences; so don't get involved with someone who talks too much” (Proverbs 20:19).

A sure way to invite the manipulation of the enemy and open the door to sickness and lack is to touch the Lord's anointed with your mouth. Such conduct grants the enemy an access point into your affairs. David said in Psalm 119:67, “Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey Your word.” In other words, Satan cannot afflict your body or finances and be successful without you first drifting away from the Word. Like I have often said, Satan does not have the ability to make you do anything that is contrary to the Word. He simply preys on the carnal imaginations of your heart.

Leviticus 19:16, the Lord said to the children of Israel, “You shall not go about as a slanderer among your people, and you are not to act against the life of your neighbor; I am the Lord.” Why would God warn against such an attitude? It is because such an attitude has the propensity of keeping one broke, sick, and bitter. I have come across many who had great visions and unique abilities; yet, were headed nowhere in life. Many of them have become spiritual sheriffs; looking for the latest gossip to tarnish the image and reputation of others, especially ministers of the gospel.

Brothers and sisters, there are things that should bring chills to your bones; some things you ought to run away from with reverential fear. You should never entertain others speaking ill about a brother or sister in the house of God, none the less a minister of God. David said to a young man, "Where are you from?  and "Why weren't you afraid to lift your hand to destroy the Lord’s anointed?” (2 Samuel 1:13-14). Bear in mind that David was referring to King Saul who at this point had lost out with God. But to David, Saul may have personally lost out with God but the anointing was on his office as a king. As a result, he reverenced him and would not dare lift his hand or mouth against Saul the king; even though Saul had declared David as an enemy that was to be killed. And what was God’s testimony concerning David? “I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do” (Acts 13:22).

The scripture says, “Whoever spreads gossip betrays confidences; so don't get involved with someone who talks too much” (Proverbs 20:19). So the next time someone tries to sell you any information about a brother or sister, or a minister, that will cause you to see that person outside of the Word, simply shut them down and have nothing to do with it. Kindly tell them, “I love the grace of God on my life. I am simply going to pass on this discussion.” Proverbs 6:16 says, “Six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto Him.” And verse nineteen says “a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” So if God deems it an abomination, why would anyone want to engage in it? It is clear that a believer who engages in such has gone astray and is self-driven; not Christ-driven. James 3:16 says “For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.” So strife precedes every confusion and evil manifestation. And where does strife come from? It comes from a heart that is not fully submitted to the Word. And when it comes to strife, it must not be tolerated. You shut it down swiftly! Because “Where no wood is, there the fire goes out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceases” (Proverbs 26:20).

Shut down every gossip and deal wisely with those who perpetuate them.

God bless you!

Faith-Filled Confession:

I give no audience to the ill speaking of ministers of the gospel and other members of the body of Christ. I refuse to sow seeds of discord in the body of Christ. My words are full of grace and love. I have great respect and reverence for the anointing and for God’s anointed ones. Today, I declare strength and unity over the body of Christ, in Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer for those who are facing intense temptations

Jude 1:24-25 says, “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Pray for those whom Satan is stirring off the course of their calling in Christ through various temptations and trials.

Pray that their faith fail not, and prevails in all circumstances.

Declare that they hold fast to their calling, living in and by the Word, irrespective of circumstances, that they may finish their course with joy, bringing glory to the Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

2 Thessalonians 2:3 AMPC says Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the [a]apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition),

Colossians 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Pray for our brethren, that more than ever they will stay focused on Christ and the things of the kingdom, and they would not be distracted by the transient pleasures of this world.

Declare that our brethren are established in Christ, deeply rooted and founded in Him. They remain steadfast, unmoveable, doing the work of the Lord with joy.
