"Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it." (Habakkuk 2:2)
For students, leaders and everyone who wants to retain the things that they are learning whether it is at school, at church, on the job or in the privacy of their home, take notes and go over them afterwards.
In today's theme scripture, the LORD gives us an insight into how to turn learning into practice and gain benefits. He says, "Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it." (Habakkuk 2:2)
The word, "vision" may also be translated as "revelation". A revelation is empowering information that elicits a course of action. The word of God, when you receive it, is a revelation to you. This is why James 1:22 says, "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves."
However, to do the word, you must write it down and refer to it again, "...That he may run who reads it" (Habakkuk 2:2). This is the secret of spiritual growth. When you hear a message, attempt to write it down as much as you can as well as the thoughts that the Lord puts in your heart as a result of the message as you listen. Then, go back to it and you will find it executable.
See, if I were you, I would never, not have a notepad with me, when I study or pray again. Revelation can come to you at any time and your duty is to capture it for execution.
Have a blessed day.
Faith-Filled Confession
I am apt to write every time I encounter the word of God so that when I refer to it I can run. My life is for the glory of God and as I receive revelation, I am continually metamorphosed into what the Lord desires me to be. Glory!!
