HONOR THE ANOINTING

01/12/2024

"And he said to his men, "The LORD forbid that I should do this thing to my master, the LORD's anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD" (1 Samuel 24:6).

For the anointing to work for your benefit, you must honor it. If God has anointed someone over you, your prosperity is tied to honoring the anointing upon their life because the anointing that you honor works for you with or without the carrier's input. In the same manner, an anointing that you castigate will work actively against you, with or without the carrier's input. 1 Timothy 5:17 says, "Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine."

Prophetically speaking, a spirit of divisiveness is poured out across the earth to make brothers fight against brothers, cause rifts between siblings, and turn hearts from mercy to envy and suspicion. This spirit has touted humanism and humanitarianism to many believers, causing them to challenge the canon of scripture. This spirit seeks to enter and control through divisive and deceptive ways as many as will allow it in. Even now, it has empowered many believers under its seduction to pronounce hurtful things against anointed men and women of God. It has also made people castigate the Jews based on politics, not taking into account the Holy Scriptures. The goal of this spirit of divisiveness is to bring untold poverty, hardship, and calamity to the earth. Every time people are judgemental and allow strife or contention, its agenda is enhanced.  "For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work" (James 3:16).

Child of God, your position from scripture is to never speak against those whom the Lord has anointed. Copy David. Even when his master was in error, his regard for the anointing was unwavering.

When God anoints a person or a people, He takes of His Spirit and puts it upon them. And if God never revokes his anointing (according to Romans 11:29), then you do well to steer clear of pronouncing judgments against His anointed. Romans 14:4 says, "Who are you to judge another's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand."

A better way to function is this: When you hear something damning about a fellow believer, minister, or the State of Israel, let the Spirit of supplication subsume you in wailing and intercession. It is not the time to cast aspersions. Wail and ask the Lord to supply mercy. Do so, even right now.

Have a blessed day.

Faith-Filled Confession

I am tempered to honor the anointing of God always. I do not touch God's anointed with my mouth. Instead, I intercede, asking the Lord for mercy and peace. Hallelujah!

Day 11 of 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

Pray for Israel

The nation of Israel remains very important to God, and we are instructed by the Scriptures to pray for their salvation and peace.

▪ Pray for the government of Israel, seeking God's guidance for the nation's leadership to fulfill His agenda on earth.

▪ Pray for the salvation of the souls of Jews who have not accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

▪ Pray for the peace of Israel, especially Jerusalem. Declare that no weapon that is formed or fashioned against the nation of Israel prospers.

• Pray against any plan being fermented against Israel by nation-states around the world. Declare that such plans fail in Jesus' name.

Scriptural Texts

"Dear brothers and sisters, the longing of my heart and my prayer to God is for the people of Israel to be saved" (Romans 10:1).

"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces" (Psalm 122:6-7).
