HOLD IT

08/20/2024

“Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.” (Proverbs 4:25)

God commanded Joshua, “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful” (Joshua 1:8). In other words, keep God's Word before you at all times. But how do you do that? Through your confession. Let me be clear: any miracle or revival you desire begins with your mouth. If your words are not in line with the Spirit, your life will not reflect His power. What you see and accept is what you will speak, and what you speak is what you will become. So, what are you holding before you?

If what you're focusing on contradicts what God has spoken over you, it’s time to change your focus if you want to see God's glory. The Spirit of God says He has begun to magnify you before all people. This means the grace of honor is upon you. What you should hold before you is a vision of yourself that embodies honor: one that reflects splendor, majesty, nobility, elegance, opulence, brilliance, and radiance. Not only should you hold this vision, but you must also ask yourself daily: Do my words and actions align with the picture that God is showing me? If they don’t, change them quickly.

Proverbs 4:25 instructs us, “Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.” The Spirit of God is telling you today to focus on the glory in your life. You might not have physical evidence that the grace of honor is upon you. But if you take a moment to reflect on what’s been happening in your life recently, you’ll see signs that this grace is already at work. Maybe someone has shown you unexpected kindness, or you’ve received a surprising call from an old friend. These small signs are indicators of God’s grace at work. Even if you haven't noticed any signs, the fact that God has given you His Word is all the confirmation you need. The key is to acknowledge His Word with thanksgiving, regardless of visible signs. When you do, He will increase the grace on your life to experience the fullness of honor.

Just as Moses encountered God through the burning bush in Exodus 3, God has given you His Word as a sign. When Moses turned aside to look, God called out to him (Exodus 3:4). Likewise, when you give attention to God's Word and keep it before you, you will become all that He has declared over your life.

So start today by declaring that you are majestic, noble, elegant, brilliant, and radiant.

God Bless You.

Faith-Filled Confession:

I will keep God's Word before my eyes. I refuse to let it depart from my mouth; I will keep it in the midst of my heart. As a result, I receive the life that proceeds from the Word in my spirit, mind, and body. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Prayer Direction

1. Pray against every claim of the spirit of rebellion on our children, declaring that it will be futile. Affirm that our children belong to the Lord.

- Psalm 127:3: "Children are indeed a heritage from the LORD, and the fruit of the womb is His reward."

2. Pray that our children bring honor and joy to their parents throughout this school year. Pray against any attempts by the enemy to use our children to hinder the grace of God in our lives.

- Proverbs 15:20: "Sensible children bring joy to their father; foolish children despise their mother."
