HEALTH IS YOUR BIRTHRIGHT

“He [Jesus] himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed” (1 Peter 2:24 NIV).

Jesus didn’t outsource the blows that He took on His body for the fact that there should be no doubt or dispute about God’s intentions. The Bible says that the contusion-producing blows that he bore on his body were for you to be able to live healthily. These wounds were not for your healing but for your health. 

Matthew 8:17 says, “that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “ He Himself took our infirmities and bore oursicknesses.” If Jesus took all infirmities and sickness in fulfillment of the scriptures, why then do Christians fall sick or experience certain symptoms?

Rebellious spirits always try to see how much they can get away with; how much of your rights you know and how they can mock God by afflicting you with an ailment that Jesus already suffered for. Hear me, a symptom is a mocking statement directed at the Lord that you permit.

This is why you must be vehement in asserting your divine right to health. Let no symptom slip past you without a response. Perhaps, you noticed a tiny growth where it shouldn’t be. Command it to die and pass out of your body in the name of Jesus, and then, conclude that instruction by thanking the Lord in tongues for the right to live in health. 

If it is a diagnosis of some aggressive sickness, it has had time to progress undetected either because you ignored the symptoms or its presence was masked. Ask the medical professionals to print out the diagnosis for you and then, take it to the Lord in prayer using Isaiah 53:1,5 as your strong reason. The scripture says, “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed…But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” Affirm God’s report as superior to that medical report and begin to meditate on and confess scriptures that relate to health daily. 

Your attitude should be like a powerful country responding to a terrorist threat each time you experience any health situation. You meet the threat with a measured response. You must never allow a threat to go without a response. Declare your right to health by the stripes of Jesus. If you must, add prayer and fasting to your daily meditation and declarations until the symptoms vanish completely.

Unless you treat sickness and diseases like acts of treachery against God, you are not responding appropriately. Understand that it is God’s express injunction that “No one living in Zion will say, “I am ill"; and the sins of those who dwell there will be forgiven” (Isaiah 33:24 NIV).

Faith-Filled Confession 

Health is my birthright in Christ Jesus. I live in health and tolerate no rebellion against my spirit, soul, and body. I defy and deny every claim of the enemy through symptoms or medical diagnosis, asserting that by the stripes of Jesus, I was healed. Since I was healed, I maintain my health by keeping the word of God on my lips. Hallelujah!

Begin with praise and adoration to the Lord for protecting us. Make confessions to His name.

Refute and cancel every claim of sickness, division, confusion, and death against God’s grace, provisions, and will in your life. 

Philippians 1:6, Zechariah 4:7

Pray against every form of resistance and hindrance to God's move in your life. Declare that the people of God have prevailed in Jesus' name.

Prophesy life, safety, increase, and testimonies over your family members in Jesus' name.
