HE WHO BEGAN A GOOD WORK

“Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Philippians 1:6

God does not start what He does not intend to finish. If He has begun a good work in your life, He will complete it. This means that everything God does in your life is good.

James 1:17 says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

In other words, the work of God can only bring you success, prosperity, strength, and advantage. God’s work does not bring you reproach, but glory.

You may not understand every season, and you may not see the full picture yet, but you can trust the One who is working behind the scenes.

Look at Joseph as an example. He knew God had a great future for him, but the way that future came to pass took many unexpected turns. Yet Joseph stayed faithful throughout the process. He did not compromise when everything was working against him. He did not take the shortcut when he was offered the opportunity. He did not complain when it felt like what was his had been taken away.

And when God finally brought His vision to pass, Joseph said one of the most profound statements to his brothers:

“Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.”

Notice what Joseph said: “I am in the place of God.” He did not say this when he became the prime minister of Egypt. He was in that place when it didn’t look like he was. When others questioned it, Joseph knew where he was. As far as Joseph was concerned, his circumstances did not define his place in God.

So I say to you, don’t give up because of what you see today. You are in the place of God.

Come hell or high water!

The Potter is still shaping the clay.

The Builder is still building.

The Author is still writing.

And the One who began the work will finish it!

Just as He did with Joseph, your story will be colored with praise and glory.

In Jesus’ name. Amen!

FAITH-FILLED CONFESSION

I am confident that God, who began a good work in me, will complete it. I will not quit, give up, or turn back. His purpose for my life will be fulfilled, and I will become everything He has ordained me to be.

I am the work of God’s hands. He is my Father, and I am continually being shaped according to His purpose. I trust His process, His timing, and His wisdom. I refuse to resist what God is doing in my life. I remain yielded to the Potter’s hands.

Every season is working for my good, and I am becoming everything God has ordained me to be. I am not finished; God is still working on me!

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
