GROW YOUR FAITH IN GOD AND LOVE FOR PEOPLE

01/14/2023

"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Roman 10:17)

As a consequence of the Year of Wonder, the Lord would have us focus on four key instructions one of which is, "Grow your faith in God and your love for people." It may have seemed like two instructions but it is actually one. You grow your faith by hearing the word of God and you make that faith work by loving people.

Dimensioning this instruction entails listening to the message of the Year of Wonder over and over, possibly, every day during the year 2023. Developing the proficiency of your faith in the word of God that He has given to us would entail becoming kind to people "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love" (Galatians 5:6).

Recognize that the word that God has given to you, in full manifestation, will make people marvel and how else would you express the God of wonder to them than to make a practice of expressing profuse love and kindness to others? Ephesians 4:32 sums it this way: "...be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."

As an aside, each time you listen to the message for the year, see it as a ministry to others because you are that message to your world and the more the revelation of you that you gain from the message of the YEAR OF WONER, the more you'd be able to influence others for the Lord this year.

So like a baby learning to take baby steps in being the Mopheth or portent of God to your family, colleagues, friends and everyone you encounter let the word of God for this year be so well rehearsed in your ears and heart such that when you are in the midst of people, directly or through your products, all they experience is wonder. Learn to be quiet this year and when you speak, speak softly to others.

Say this aloud with me three times, if you will:  "I have become a portent to many, but You (Oh God) are my strong refuge." (Psalm 71:7 RSV).

Have a fantastic day! God bless you!

Faith-Filled Confession

Not only do I habituate the word of God to me this year, but I also manifest it. And everywhere I go, I am a bastion of the love and patience of God that leads many to repentance. In Jesus' name. Amen.

DAY 13 OF 21 DAYS OF FASTING AND PRAYER

Pray for political leaders in your nation; that they will govern with the wisdom and fear of the God. 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Pray against fear, violence, wickedness and all forms of injustice in your city and nation, declaring peace, progress, stability and prosperity, for the furtherance of God's kingdom.

Pray for God's people who are in politics facing challenges in their faith, and whom Satan is stirring off the course of their calling in Christ through various temptations and trials.

Pray that their faith fail not, that they be strengthened by the Spirit in their inner man, triumphing by the Word sown in their hearts, and their faith prevails in all circumstances.

Declare that they hold fast to their calling, living in and by the Word, irrespective of circumstances, that they may finish their course with joy, bringing glory to the Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
