GREATER WORKS THAN THESE

"He who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." — John 14:12

The Christian life is a spectacle to behold. Jesus made a remarkable statement. “Greater works than these will he do.”He was not speaking to a select group of super-spiritual people. He was speaking to those who believe in Him.

Think about what that means.

Jesus healed the sick, opened blind eyes, raised the dead, fed multitudes, calmed storms, cast out demons, and preached the Kingdom of God. Yet He said that those who believe in Him would do greater works.

Why? Because He was going to the Father, and the Holy Spirit would come to live in us.

So help me understand something: why, for so many years, have people portrayed the Christian life as weak, powerless, and beggarly?

Unless Jesus lied. But Jesus cannot lie. Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not human, that he should lie... Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”

If Jesus said, “Greater works than these will he do,” then we must believe that we possess what is necessary for those greater works to be manifested.

And understand this: Jesus was not merely making a promise about something that might happen someday. He was declaring a reality concerning the believer.

The question is not whether God has made His power available.

The question is whether we will believe Him and yield ourselves to Him.

Therefore, my brother and sister, never minimize what God has placed inside you.

You are not ordinary. You carry the Holy Spirit. You carry the life of God. You carry His presence. You carry His power.

You carry His Word. You are called and empowered to participate in what God is doing in the earth. Don't spend your life merely celebrating what Jesus did yesterday. Step into what He has called you to do today.

If Jesus healed the sick, opened blind eyes, raised the dead, fed multitudes, calmed storms, cast out demons, and preached the Kingdom of God. Go do greater because you carry the same Holy Spirit.

There are people today who are waiting for an encounter with God, and God has chosen to make you part of that encounter.

So stop minimizing yourself. Stop disqualifying yourself. Stop waiting for someone else to be used by God.

You are the vessel. The world is waiting to see what the life of Christ looks like through a yielded believer like you.

Now go do greater.

Faith-Filled Confession

I believe the Word of God, and I yield myself to the Holy Spirit. The same Spirit who empowered Jesus lives in me. I am equipped to do the works God has called me to do. I refuse fear, limitation, and intimidation. Through my prayers, words, hands, obedience, and testimony, people encounter the love and power of God. I am available for greater works, and Christ is glorified through my life. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
