"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away." — Matthew 24:35
One of the enemy's greatest tactics during difficult seasons is to convince you that your adverse situation is permanent. He wants you to believe that what you are facing today is how your story will end.
But God's Word tells a different story. Your trial or situation has an expiration date, but God's Word is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:17 says “For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” Meaning, your trials are not designed to destroy you—they are designed to produce God's glory in and through you.
The doctor's report will change. The economy will fluctuate. Relationships may disappoint. People may fail you. But the Word of God remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. It cannot be broken, defeated, or overturned.
So, every challenge you face is today is temporary, but every Word God has spoken over your life is everlasting.
When David faced Goliath, the giant looked bigger than the promise. When Joseph was in prison, the prison looked more real than the dream. When Abraham and Sarah grew old, their bodies seemed to contradict God's promise. Yet in every case, the Word of God outlived the problem.
The giant fell. The prison doors opened. The promised son was born.
The circumstance changed, but God's Word never did.
Child of God, never allow a temporary situation to make you question an eternal promise. Stand on what God has said, not on what you currently see. Circumstances are subject to change, but God's Word is forever settled.
Whatever you are facing today, remember this: your trial is running out of time, but God's Word never will.
Hold fast to His Word. Speak them over your life. Meditate on them day and night. Build your faith upon them. In due season, what God has spoken will outlast every obstacle standing in your way.
Say Amen!
Faith-Filled Confession
I stand upon the unchanging Word of God. My circumstances are temporary, but God's promises are eternal. I refuse to be moved by what I see, hear, or feel. I am moved only by the Word of God. Every trial in my life is subject to change, and every promise of God will surely come to pass. I declare that I am victorious, steadfast, and full of faith because God's Word will outlast every challenge I face. In Jesus' name, Amen.
