“A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump” (Galatians 5:9).
When the Spirit of God speaks to you, don’t try to talk yourself out of it. Ignoring the Spirit’s guidance will not benefit you. Instead, listening and following the Spirit’s prompting pays off in profound ways. For instance, Galatians 5:16 says, “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” This scripture is not a mere suggestion; it is God’s way of helping us live victoriously over the desires of the flesh. There is no other way to render the cravings of the flesh ineffective except by walking in the Spirit. Neglecting this wisdom and relying on other means is futile.
In 2 Timothy 2:23-24, the Spirit of God instructs through the Apostle Paul: “...reject foolish and ignorant speculations, for you know that it breeds quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.” As a Christian, refuse to participate in conversations that do not carry the anointing of the Spirit. If certain things are being said that do not glorify God, reject them quickly before they form as thoughts in your heart. Proverbs 4:23 advises, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
If you don’t control thoughts of fear, sickness, death, depression, failure, anger, etc., sooner or later, you will begin to speak and manifest them. James 1:13-15 explains, “When tempted, no one should say, ‘God is tempting me.’ For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.” Don’t allow any thoughts contrary to the Word of God to go unchecked. Counter them with faith-filled words. Spiritual sensitivity is connected to what you feed on. If you constantly feed on God’s Word, your spirit will be alive and burning, and you will find your walk with God to be adventurous.
God is saying to you today, “A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump” (Galatians 5:9). Use the Word to choke the seeds of offense, anger, bitterness, lust, fear, and failure, and replace them with the seed of the Word of God. Declare out loud that you are righteous and that sin, sickness, bitterness, anger, fear, and failure have no dominion over your mind or spirit. Speak to your body and say, “You are the temple of the Holy Ghost; therefore, sickness is not welcome in this body.” Endeavor to counter every thought with the Word of God. This is your month of supernatural ability for supernatural accomplishment. Let nothing in that will choke this anointing; keep your mind focused on the Word only.
God bless you.
Faith-Filled Confession
