GOD IS WAITING FOR YOU

10/27/2023

"For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says." (Mark 11:23)

Christians often abdicate their role of bringing divine experiences and miracles to pass through ignorance. You may hear statements like, "I am leaving the matter to God" or "If God wants me to have this job or to get married this year, He will make it happen." Such thinking is misguided! You are not waiting for God; on the contrary, God is waiting for you! And He doesn't mind waiting until you realize it is up to you to initiate the process of that miracle.

In Matthew 17:19-20, the disciples encountered a situation where their efforts yielded no results, and they blamed their failure on God. How do I know this? The Bible says, "Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?" So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."

From this encounter, Jesus taught a very important lesson on faith. Jesus made it abundantly clear that we cannot leave things hanging and unaddressed under the guise of "waiting on God." First, you must rehearse God's Word privately. Make faith proclamations repeatedly during your times of devotion until you are completely immersed in the word you profess. This aligns with the guidance from Joshua 1:8: "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

Second, your public proclamations should be an offshoot of your private proclamations and meditation of God's Word. Declare what you have believed so fervently that when the topic arises in everyday discussions, you affirm your stance with unwavering certainty as if it has already become a reality.

Just like the disciples asked Jesus why they couldn't cast out the devil, someone may be asking why she has not been able to conceive a baby or get a particular job. Jesus has the same response: "Because of your unbelief." Because if you have firmly believed, based on God's word, that you will conceive a child or secure that job, then going forward, your public proclamations should reflect what you say you believe.

If you understand this principle of faith in Matthew 17:20 and operate this way, nothing shall be impossible to you.

You are blessed.

Faith-Filled Confession

I take responsibility for the outcomes of my life by the word of God. I know that God's word on my lips is His power to transform everything about me in real time. I do not take this power for granted. Instead, I use it to negotiate and advance my life from the spirit realm into this natural plain. In Jesus' name. Amen
