"Now the word of the LORD came to Samuel, saying, "I greatly regret that I have set up Saul as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My commandments." And it grieved Samuel, and he cried out to the LORD all night" (1 Samuel 15:10-11).
Everyone has a role in the house of God, and if you function in absolute obedience to the instructions that the Lord gives, you will abound with testimonies. On the other hand, if you neglect the fine details in the instructions that come to you from the Lord, you may cause yourself jeopardy because God will still have whatever He wants done.
In today's theme scripture, the Lord rejects Saul as king, not because he didn't carry out His instruction, but because Saul carried it out partially and in consultation with others. 1 Samuel 15:9 says, "But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs, and all that was good, and were unwilling to utterly destroy them. But everything despised and worthless, that they utterly destroyed."
Saints, when God gives you personal instructions, do not be in a hurry to consult with men for validation. Just get it done! When God called Saul of Tarsus, he didn't make the mistake of immediately consulting with men. Paul wrote, "But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood" (Galatians 1:15-16). So, adhere to the instructions you have been given and let every interaction with others be in line with the instructions you received.
There is a mechanism for having testimony-worthy outcomes, and it is, doing whatever the Lord tells you to do. Whether He instructs you directly by the Holy Spirit, through the Scriptures, or through your pastor, execute the Lord's instructions to the finest detail, and the results will be yours to celebrate. Because if you fail to follow the Lord's instruction, your disobedience not only diminishes your testimony but also adds unnecessary responsibilities to others. Samuel had to intercede for Saul, and later on in 1 Samuel 15, Samuel had to complete God's instructions given to Saul.
Don't be like Saul. Rather be like David, who said, "God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God" (Psalm 62:11). Saints, hear to do!
God bless you!

Prayer Point for Today
2 Thessalonians 2:3 AMPC says, "Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the [a]apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition)."
Pray that our brethren, more than ever, will stay focused on Christ and the things of the kingdom, and they will not be distracted by the transient pleasures of this world.
Declare that our brethren are established in Christ, deeply rooted, and founded in Him. They remain steadfast, unmoveable, doing the work of the Lord with joy.
Pray that their faith will not fail; it prevails in every circumstance. And that they are strengthened by the Spirit in their inner man, triumphing by the Word sown in their hearts.
Declare that residents and partners hold fast to their calling, living in and by the Word, irrespective of circumstances. Pray they finish their course with joy, bringing glory to the Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
