GO INTO THE HIGHWAYS

3/8/2026

“Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.’” — Luke 14:23

In this parable, Jesus reveals the heart of God for humanity. The master prepared a great banquet and invited many guests, but some made excuses and refused to come. Instead of canceling the feast, the master instructed his servant to go out into the streets, the highways, and the hedges and bring others in so that his house would be filled.

This story reflects God’s deep desire for people to come into His kingdom. His invitation is open to everyone—the overlooked, the forgotten, the broken, and those who feel far from Him. God’s heart is that no seat in His house remains empty.

But notice something important: the master sent servants to bring the people in. God’s work on earth is carried out through willing believers who share His love and invite others into His family.

To “compel” does not mean forcing people, but lovingly urging them, showing them the truth, and demonstrating the goodness of God through our lives. Sometimes people need encouragement, kindness, and a clear invitation to experience the grace of God.

Today, remember that you are part of God’s mission. There are people around you who are waiting to hear about His love. Through your words, your kindness, and your example, you can help lead them into the house of God.

God’s house is meant to be full—and He uses His servants to make that happen.

Faith-Filled Confession:

Father, thank You for inviting me into Your Kingdom. I am willing to be used by You to reach others. Fill my heart with compassion and boldness to share Your love. Through my life, many will come to know You and experience Your grace, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
