FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE

"And breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart." — Acts 2:46

I heard someone say not long ago,“I don’t do people.”Immediately, I thought to myself,I hope he doesn't lead anything; otherwise, everyone around him is going to have a big problem.

I said what I said because the Christian life is about people. Especially people people you don’t like. 

Christianity was never designed to be lived in isolation or restricted to the four walls of a church building. The early Church understood this truth. They worshipped together, shared meals, encouraged one another, prayed together, and built genuine relationships.

They didn't just attend church together.

They did life together. Meaning, they learned to relate to one another through the love of Christ. They didn't merely tolerate one another; they built relationships, carried one another's burdens, and created an atmosphere where people could belong.

Child of God, there is something powerful about fostering relationship beyond Sunday. If all your so-called Christian relationships end when the pastor gives the benediction on Sunday, something is wrong.

Your home can become a place of prayer, fellowship, encouragement, discipleship, healing, and salvation.

Truth be told, some of the greatest miracles recorded in Scripture happened in people's homes. Jesus went into homes. He ministered in homes. He ate in homes. He healed in homes. He raised the dead in homes. Your home can become a place where God encounters people.

The early believers didn't simply gather to receive; they gathered to share. And look at what happened:

"Praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved."— Acts 2:47

This is significant. The Church was growing because believers were living a life that was open, relational, generous, and welcoming. So we must ask ourselves: Are we creating an environment where people can encounter Jesus?

Perhaps there is someone who needs to sit at your table—not simply to eat your food, but to experience your love, your faith, your hospitality, and the presence of Christ in you.

The Church grows stronger when believers move beyond Sunday gatherings and build meaningful relationships throughout the week.

Don't say, “I don't do people.”

Jesus did people. And if we are going to represent Him, we must love people.

So, build relationships. Break bread. Pray together. Encourage one another. Serve one another. And create an environment where people can encounter Christ.

Faith-Filled Confession

My life is a place of God's presence, love, fellowship, and peace. I use what God has given me to bless, encourage, and strengthen others. My table becomes a place of connection, my home becomes a place of ministry, and my life becomes a testimony of Christ's love. I will not live my faith in isolation. I am committed to loving people, building genuine relationships, and helping others grow in Christ. From house to house, the Gospel is advancing, lives are being transformed, and the Church is growing. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
