FOR BY YOUR WORDS

"For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned" (Matthew 12:37).
The Bible is an instructional manual for victorious living. Jesus said in John 8:12, "I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life." And how does one follow Jesus? We do so by God's Word. This means that anyone who will conduct their affairs in conformity to Christ's eternal conquest over devils, demons of hell, and all the corrupting influences of this world will manifest the light of Zoe and live victoriously, irrespective of prevailing circumstances.
Our theme scripture elucidates the relationship between walking in this victorious living in Christ and our confession. Jesus here is saying, "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words, you will be condemned" (Matthew 12:37). In other words, you alone possess the power for victory or failure. Jesus could have said, by your prayer, you will be justified or condemned, but He didn't. Instead, He said your words are responsible for your victory or defeat. Because after you are born again, not even God is responsible for the adverse circumstances you experience. And this is because of His indwelling presence in you and the power He has given you to speak either victory or defeat.
Child of God, if you want to see your life reflect the glory of God's Word, you must make confessions that are consistent with God's Word. Imagine a fellow that always speaks of death, misery, and frustration. That fellow can pray for days without end, but until his confession lines up with the Word, death and frustration will be commonplace in his life. The Bible says in Proverbs 18:21, "The power of the tongue is life and death— those who love to talk will eat what it produces." In other words, your success or failure is not determined by others but by your words. So there is no adversary out there that can bring you down when you consistently speak God's Words. I have heard people fault their parents, the government, and different institutions for their failure. And I say to them, you can fault your baby mama, Uncle Sam, your abusive father or mother all you want, but until your confession lines up with God's Word, you will suffer for a long time.
Let me state again; God does not determine the outcome of your life. The power is in your mouth to speak in agreement with what God has said. For in doing this, you unlock life. Praise God!
Faith Confession:
Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You for your life that's at work in every fiber of my being, every cell of my blood, and every bone of my body. My whole being is immune to death, decay, and the corrupting influences in the world! My path is the path of life, righteousness, joy, gladness, and peace forevermore. Christ is my life, and in Him, I live, move, and have my being. Hallelujah!
