FEAR NOT - STAY ENCOURAGED

10/29/2025

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10 (NLT)

There may be times when you feel so discouraged that you want to walk away from an assignment. It’s not always because of laziness or lack of commitment—it could be the culture of your environment or the personalities you must work with.

I once shared about a pastor who resigned from ministry because of the endless “drama” in his church. He grew weary and thought the only way out was to quit. The Apostle Paul faced similar discouragement in Acts 18 until the Lord intervened:

“Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you….” (Acts 18:9–10)

Thank God Paul stayed. Had he walked away, he would have missed out on God’s plan for that city. Likewise, many today have stepped away from God’s will because they allowed discouragement to win.

Discouragement has destroyed marriages, ministries, businesses, and dreams. It is a silent destroyer, and you must never tolerate it. David understood this well. The Bible says, “David encouraged himself in the Lord.” I can imagine him saying, “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?... Though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.” (Psalm 27:1–3)

David didn’t dwell on what should have been said or done. He focused on what God had already done. You must do the same.

Isaiah 41:10 tells us not to be discouraged because God Himself has promised to strengthen and uphold us. The responsibility is on you to resist discouragement. When such thoughts arise, respond immediately with the Word.

The Bible says, “Casting down imaginations and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:5) You do this by speaking faith-filled words.

There was a time I had an unpleasant experience with someone, and the enemy kept trying to replay it in my mind to discourage me. Each time the thoughts arose, I would declare:

“I am a love being. The love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost. All things are working together for my good. I am not disadvantaged.”

Every time I did, the negative thoughts lost their grip. Scripture says, “Give no place to the devil.” (Ephesians 4:27) Refuse to give discouragement space. Like David, focus on God, not the situation.

 Faith-Filled Confession

I am not afraid, for God is with me. I am not discouraged, for the Lord has strengthened and helped me. All things are working together for my good. I am moving forward and making progress every day.

Prayer Point For Family And Ministry

Matthew 5:14

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Pray that every divine helper assigned to your family and our ministry will not be delayed, distracted, or hindered. Decree that the path of our helpers is made straight and that they locate us promptly by the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Declare and pray that influence, testimony, and progress increase continually. Making every member of your family to rise and shine as living witnesses of God’s grace. That their lives will continue to be an undeniable proofs of God’s favor and faithfulness for all to see.

Declare that no weapon formed against our destiny or progress shall prosper. Every limitation is broken, every delay is overturned, and divine acceleration is their portion. Also, pray that our names are mentioned in the right places, and our steps are ordered into abundance, promotion, and peace.
