"His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” — Matthew 25:21
God values faithfulness more than visibility. In a world where people often chase recognition, position, and influence, the Kingdom of God celebrates something different—faithfulness in what has been entrusted to you.
In this passage, Jesus tells the parable of the talents. The servant who was commended was not necessarily the one with the most, but the one who was faithful with what he had received. He did not neglect it, complain about it, or compare himself with others. Instead, he used what was placed in his hands.
This teaches us a powerful principle: God rewards faithfulness, not just ability. Many people are waiting for bigger opportunities, greater platforms, or more resources before they serve God wholeheartedly. But the truth is that promotion in the Kingdom begins with faithfulness in small things.
Every opportunity to serve, give, pray, encourage someone, or support the work of God matters. Nothing done for the Lord is insignificant. When you are faithful in what seems small today, God prepares you for greater responsibilities tomorrow.
Child of God, remain faithful where you are. Serve diligently, love sincerely, and steward every opportunity well. The day will come when the Lord Himself will say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Faith-Filled Confession:
I am a faithful servant of God. I handle every responsibility entrusted to me with diligence and excellence. I do not despise small beginnings. As I remain faithful, God promotes me and entrusts me with greater things. I walk in the joy of the Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
