“And the LORD said to Moses, ‘Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.’”— Exodus 14:15 (NKJV)
Sometimes, as believers, we get caught in a cycle of praying without ever taking the daring step toward change. Yes, Luke 18:1 tells us, “…men always ought to pray and not lose heart,”but there’s a difference between praying for a miracle and acting in faith to receive it.
Prayer is a judicial function—you present your case before God and receive divine judgments. Prophecy is a legislative function—you declare God’s Word, shaping the atmosphere and establishing His will.Action is an executive function—you carry out what has been decided in the spirit. Many stop at prayer and prophecy. But the miraculous often requires bold action.
Moses’ Example: Prophecy vs. Action
In Exodus 14, Moses and the Israelites faced an impossible situation: Pharaoh’s army behind them, the Red Sea in front. Fear gripped their hearts:“When Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the LORD” (Exodus 14:10). Moses responded with a powerful prophecy: “Do not fear! Stand still and see the salvation of the LORD… The Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace” (Exodus 14:13-14).
But then, God interrupted: “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward” (Exodus 14:15). Prophecy wasn’t enough. Action was required. Many of you have been praying and waiting—but God is saying: “See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut” (Revelation 3:8). You don’t stare at an open door—you walk through it.
This Is Your Time: Move Forward
It’s not just a time for prayer. It’s not just a time for prophecy. It’s a time for action. The sea will part as you step forward. Shout Amen!
Faith-Filled Confession:
I have been ordained to accomplish the impossible and unthinkable by the Holy Ghost. I move forward into the destiny that God has set before me, without hesitation or self containment. I am released into giant testimonies, and I take full advantage of my divine season. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
