"So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God" (Mark 11:22).
The original text of today's theme scripture could have been more properly translated, "So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have the faith of God" or "Have the God Kind of faith" because, in the following verse, Jesus tells us how God has faith. If there's anyone on this planet whose faith is worth emulating, it is definitely the One who created the universe. So how does God have faith? Mark 11:23 tells us how. It says, "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says."
The first thing Jesus tells us about God's faith is that it always works. He uses the word "assuredly," meaning if you are not having what you say, then you are not applying the God kind of faith.
Next, Jesus says that faith speaks. If you are not speaking, you are not in faith. Faith always speaks. But what does the God-kind-of-faith say? It says what God believes, and this is where the grounding of faith begins. Your faith is based on your belief. If you believe wrong, your faith won't work as it should. So, for your faith to work properly, you have got to know what you believe. If you are in debt, or you aren't winning souls, or you are faced with a dire situation that makes it seem like your situation is hopeless, the real problem is in your beliefs. Your outcomes are a product of your beliefs, and if you can change your beliefs, you can change your life.
But how do you change your beliefs? Start by meditating on the word of God in the area you want a miracle. And maybe there are many areas you need to apply the faith of God. Pick one and start by meditating on God's word in that area. Paul undergirds this principle of believing as a substructure of faith when he writes, "And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I believed and therefore I spoke," we also believe and therefore speak" (2 Corinthians 4:13).
Saints, as the rest of the world becomes more restless by headlines that forecast doom, it is time to rest on the word of God and, by patience, take possession of your soul(according to Luke 21:19). There is no disadvantage to the believer in Christ Jesus. All that is needed is to apply the principle, and the change you desire will be effected.
God bless you
Faith-Filled Confession
I deploy my faith to deliver miracles that catapult me from one level of glory to another. I believe in the word of God, and as I speak it from my heart, I have what I say. In Jesus' name. Amen.
